Where does the spring go on a magic chef MCD790SW

Sounds like you have a door switch that is sticking. The part for this is #DE96-00414A. Microwaves should always be worked on by a professional for safety.

Probably a bad door switch........or latch head......

Check for split wire's in door an for change in CIG lighter.

1) see the diagram attached for to see the fuse, you must unplugged the power from the wall, and turn OFF the c.breaker from your house.

2) if the problem is the door latch see the video use the common sense.
