You may have a bad heater coil in the oven or have lost a leg in the 220 line. Check and reset the breaker 1st then check the voltage in the receptacle. It should be 110 from each leg to ground and 220 across the hot legs.

Chances are it is either the element or a thermostat the chances of dripping a leg on your power is very very rare

Riello 40 gasG900 burner that will ignite but when oven reaches temperature it turns off completely. After temp drops by 4 degrees it turns back on and reheats back to temp then turns off.Why is this?

that would be normal. if it didnt shut off, it would go above the set temperature. the heat is either off or on. it cant me in the middle. it turns 'off' so that the temperature doesnt go too far above 250. when it senses the temperature falling too low below 250, it heats it up again.

Hotpoint oven won't heat above 250 degrees broiler works fine as well as the stove top

either its the oven sensor rod located at the top of the ovens cavity,or your bake element could be getting a hot spot which is when it gets a discolored spot in the element and can no longer pass sufficient current to heat the oven past 250 degrees

I have a Thermador wall oven (POMW301/02) when bake is selected, heats up very slowly until the pre-heat light goes off. And then the oven light stays on but it doesn't hold the set temperature. While it...

Due to the nature of the self-cleaning cycle heating the oven to above normal temperatures what likely happened is that the temperature sensor went bad. The sensor is a small rod about 6 inches long and 1/4 inches wide that sits in the back of the oven. You can remove it from the back side of the oven which will need to be pulled from the wall. Replacing it should solve the problem.

Let me know how this works out for you.

Replace my heating element, now oven won't go above 250. This is a maytog stove.

This could be a bad temperature sensor. If you can remove it, any tech shop should be able to quickly test it for you. We also see this problem often due to a failure in the oven control board. We repair these at www.fixyourboard.com
