hi,
the first thing, some programs that don't show in desinstall list, can sometimes be desinstalled by using a simple link that is in the start menu, name of the app (in this case, adobe)
doing what you did (deleting the folders or files ) is the worst thing you can do, because breaking the registery, leaving orphans entries...!!!
the only way without format and reinstall all, is tring to clean the registery, but even that way, it is not 100% sure you be able to reinstall !
i want to uninstall click start control panel add or remove programs or uninstall a program this may vary depending on your operating system scroll to see if the program is listed select uninstall or it might have its own uninstaller click start all programs look for program select it and see if it has the uninstall capability hope this helps
You can run msconfig.exe from the Start Menu then search for that file in the Startup List and uncheckit. If you cannot start your PC becouse of this error, just manntain the Shift key pressed during boot to skip loading Startup programms, then do the msconfig.exe thing.
Its because the browser that you are you using is not your default browser, I believe that your default browser is Firefox, You can try to restart the computer then open up the other browser that you have which is not Firefox, there will be a message there if you want to make that as your default browser, just click on yes, in that way, it will stopped Firefox to appear everytime you open up a tab.
Note: If nothing happens and still the same, you can uninstall firefox by going to the Control Panel then click on Uninstall a Program ( Windows Vista/ Windows 7 ) Add and Remove Programs ( windows XP ) then look for Mozilla Firefox and then uninstall it.
hope this will help... your response is very much appreciated...
Funny I was using PhotoImpression 3 with no problem on the same machine for 3 years...until today {24-8-2010}. Now when I try to start the program a message appears saying "PhotoImpression has stopped working" with a bit saying that Windows will close the program and notify if a solution is available. I'm using Visa Home Premium. I use it alot and I need it back.
In most cases, Microsoft Word is trying to find the dll's that are associated to it to open the program. In order to resolve this issue.
Open start or windows logo, settings or control panel, control panel in windows xp, open add/remove programs in windows xp or program features in windows vista or windows 7. Scroll down to Microsoft Office 2002 and click on add/remove. When you do this there will be an option to repair. Click repair. From here it will diagnose which files are not correctly associated and will attempt to repair those broken links.
Once the repair is complete you should be able to open Microsoft Word with no problems.
Extra info:
Windows updates can also be a culprit in these issues. Installing add-ons that should not be enabled in Microsoft Word until you are in the actual application.
if you cannot resolve the issue that way, you can open the run command and type winword /a or /s these are safe mode features built into Microsoft Word to disable add-ons.
Its nothing but a Window installer issue, the pop up window appears to install the printer. This can be easily resolved. We need to download and install Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and remove the HP programs from it.
