Low sound can hardly hear it even tho the sound is turned high

Sometimes the app you're using has it's own sound control that overrides the device sound setting. Look in the app for sound settings, eg audiobooks apps often have a separate setting for volume and this is the one that you need to adjust.

Some tablets and phones have a *silent mode* that can be turned on for meetings where such interruptions are unacceptable. Look around in Settings to see if you can find such an option and that it's not turned on.

Cant hear volume too low

this could be a codec problem or video was record on low sound settings .try checking that your sound is up full right click on sound icon....open volume mixer make sure all slides are up full.

Unable to turn on the sound on my Asus tablet T300. What do I do ?

The sound icon with a slash means the mute is turned on. Tap on the icon to see is there is sound otherwise you have to go into settings and manually turn on the sound.
