Question about Dryers
I have a Maytag Gas Dryer, model LDG7304AAE. I have checked the obvious things, like the dry setting. The dryer motor runs, but I am getting no heat. The ignitor never fires. I do not believe the problem is with the ignitor because I'm getting a voltage to it of roughly 28 volts. Also the resistance across the ignitor coil is 70 ohms, which checks out supposedly because it is within 50-400 ohms as I have read.
I don't believe I even hear the gas ignitor or valve click on after a few seconds. There is no glowing, nor does it start to glow.
Could it be the thermostat on the unit? If so, how could I bypass this to test to see if it is this?
