There are two typical types of tire pressure monitoring systems, direct and indirect. Direct TPMS uses individual battery powered sensors on each wheel to report tire pressure to the computer and if this is the case one of your sensors may have failed. Indirect TPMS uses a combination of values measured externally to each wheel (rotation velocity, temperature, etc.) then the computer calculates nominal values and indicates when a wheel is performing outside those nominal values thus indicating a potential low tire pressure situation. Any false indications with an indirect TPMS may be due to a fault within the ECU (computer) or other feedback sensor.

Yellow light on dash panel...looks like exclamation mark in circle. That blinks..what does this mean

Some cars have tire pressure sensors that can cause an indicator with an exclamation point to appear on the instrument panel.

Check the pressure in all of your tires.

Your car manual (probably crammed into your glove box somewhere) will have a diagram of all the instrument panel lights and a brief description of what they all mean.

A light like a tyre stays on the instrument panel

This is your low air pressure tire sensors alarm. It means one of your tires is low on air, and your spare will have a sensor too, so don't forget to check it as well,

TPM light stays on. All 4 tires have 26 lbs of air. What is recommended tire pressure?

32 psi is the usual recommended pressure but you may have to fill the tires to 35 psi to make the TPM system reset. That's how most systems recognize that you have serviced the tires. Most TPM systems will indicate low tire pressure around 26-28 psi.

''Check Engine Soon'' light Stays On.

Must have engine computer scanned to get codes and determine cause of check engine light. Low tire light probably needs reset. Open passenger door and remove panel on side of dash. Reset switch should be located in that compartment.
