My hub cant find drivers

It's a USB hub, it doesn't require any special drivers. Just plug it into the computer and plug in devices. Be aware hubs have very limited suppliable power so if you plug in a lot of devices that use a lot of power and have no power supply of their own you will overload the hub and it will stop functioning.
If the computer is having problems identifying the hub. Go into Device manager and locate any yellow ? or ! devices right click the device, properties and post the status codes.

Sound not working

Hi,

Check Device Manager to for any "unknown devices", your audio device driver might be one of those. Unknown devices usually appears if the device driver (ex. audio driver) is not installed. You can also find an "exclamation point" under "Sound, video and game controllers" if there is conflict on the driver causing no audio to be heard from the unit.

To resolve the issue, you can either use the Drivers installation disc which came with the computer or Right-click on the "unknown device" and select "Update driver" button.

For pc users who doesnt know how to check device manager, follow below steps:

Windows XP
- Start > Run > type devmgmt.msc on the box then hit enter key. or you can also
- Start > Right-click My Computer > Properties > Hardware tab > Device Manager

Windows Vista and 7
- Start > type devmgmt.msc on the search box then hit enter key or
- Start > Right-click Computer > System Properties > Device Manager (link at the left pane)

Hope this helps.

250 error on documate 510 xerox

Symptom: When scanning you receive an error 250. Cause: This problem can be caused by several different things but is often a driver or communication problem. Solution: Here are several solutions that can resolve this problem:

Solution 1 - Check for communication problems

Using any of the following can cause communication errors:
  • USB hubs
  • Docking stations
  • USB extension cables
  • USB cables longer than 6'
  • Connecting the scanner to one of the computers front USB ports (desktop computer only)
Connect the scanner directly to a USB port on the back of the computer (or side for notebook computers) using a 6 foot or shorter cable.

If you still receive the same error message, try a different USB cable.

Solution 2 - Redetect the scanner with Hidden Devices

Windows Vista, XP and 2000 users
  1. Disconnect the power and USB cable from the scanner.
  2. Click here and select "Run" or "Open".
  3. The Windows Device Manager will open.
    • Click on the "View" menu then select "Show hidden devices".
  4. Click the "+" next to "Imaging Devices". This will show all Imaging Devices previously and currently connected to the computer.
  5. Right-click on the Visioneer or Xerox scanner name and left click on "Uninstall".
  6. If the scanner is listed more than one time, uninstall ALL occurrences of the scanner.
  7. IF you see "?Other Devices" in the device manager list, click on the "+" to view the list of Other Devices.
  8. Right click then left click on "Uninstall" for each occurrence of the scanner. The scanner may be listed as any of the following:
    • USB Scanner
    • USB Device
    • Unknown Device
    • 1200 DPI Scanner
    • (Your Scanner Model)
    • (any other scanners or cameras listed here that you no longer use)
  9. Click the "+" next to "Universal Serial Bus Controllers".
  10. Right-click every listing of "Unknown Device" and select uninstall.
  11. Once all instances have been removed from device manager, reconnect the power and USB.
Windows Me and 98 users
  1. Right-click on the "My Computer" icon on your Windows Desktop
  2. Select "Properties" from the list
  3. Click on the "Device Manager" tab
  4. Find "Imaging Devices" and click on the plus (+) next to it to expand the list
  5. Select your scanner, then click on the "Remove" button
  6. IF you see "?Other Devices", click on the plus (+) next to it to expand the list
  7. Select your scanner then click on the "Remove"; button – your scanner may be listed as any of the following:
    • USB Scanner
    • USB Device
    • Unknown Device
    • 1200dpi Scanner
    • (your scanner model)
  8. Close the Device Manager
  9. Unplug the scanner from the computer and from the power
  10. Plug the scanner back in to the computer and power
Solution 3 - Check for power problems

If the power for the scanner is plugged into a surge protector, battery backup (UPS), or extension cord, plug the scanner directly to the wall.

Solution 4 - Check for conflict with other devices

This error can also be caused by a conflict with another USB device.
  1. Disconnect all USB device from the computer (including the scanner), except for you keyboard and/or mouse
  2. Turn the scanner off
  3. Restart the computer
  4. Once the computer has fully restarted, reconnect and power on the scanner
  5. If the scanner works properly at this time, it means there is a conflict with another device on the computer
  6. It may help to isolate the two items by connecting one of them to a USB add-in card
Solution 5 - Test the scanner on a different computer

If possible, you should try the scanner on a different computer. If the scanner works correctly on a different computer, then the problem is environmental and may be related to your chipset. See solution 6 below.

Solution 6 - Check the computer's chipset

This problem can also be caused by the computer's chipset. To check the chipset:

  1. Vista, XP and 2000 users: Click here and select "Run" or "Open".
ME and 98 users: Right click on 'My Computer', select 'Properties' then click the 'Device Manager' tab.
  2. The Windows Device Manager will open.
  3. Click on the plus (+) next to 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers'.
  4. This list will include your computer's chipset.

  5. The follow chipsets are known to have communication problems:
    • SiS 7001
    • VIA Rev. 5 or later
    • Open HCD
    • ALi
  6. If your chipset is one of those listed above or it is only listed as 'Standard', you can try updating the chipset drivers.
    • Contact your computer's manufacturer for more information.
  7. If the problem persists, you may need to use a USB add-in card.
    • This is a PCI card that will add more USB ports to your computer.
  8. For more information about USB chipset issues, see www.usbman.com.

if this is a usb device (most likley usb 2.0) goto my computer right click select properties then select hardware then device magager check to make sure there are no yellow question marks, scroll down click on usb and make sure there are no problems here. then u can go to cannon's web site and download latest drivers and any fixes they may have

I need Drivers please send a copy of VGA drivers

First you will have to check the device that is installed on your computer and then download the drivers for the same. Go through the following steps to install the drivers:

  1. Open Device Manager (Right-click My Computer>Properties>Hardware>Device Manager)
  2. The hardware whose drivers are missing will appear as Unknown device, so it’s easier to locate the device. In your case, it will be VGA device.
  3. Right click on the unknown device and click on Properties.
  4. Under the Properties window click on Details tab and select Device Instance Id from the drop down box.
  5. You should see a code similar to this
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_27DC&SUBSYS_30868086&REV_01\4&1E46F438&0&40F0
  6. The portion of the code highlighted in RED is the Vendor ID and the portion highlighted in GREEN is the Device ID. In this example:
    Vendor ID = 8086
    Device ID = 27DC
  7. Once you have obtained both the IDs, proceed to www.pcidatabase.com. There you can either search for the vendor from the vendor ID or directly get information about the device along with the vendor name by searching with the device ID.

Problems with computer connection

There's many reason that explain why a usb device can't be recognized by a computer, such as:

If it use to be recognized & function:
- Try the device on other computer, to check if it is ok.
- Try the computer with other device.
- Some computer virus can damage the function of usb device, if it is, try to clean up your computer and usb device.
- If you ever plug other similar device to the computer, and the device failed to be installed, then the computer will mark all similar device as unknown. Try to reinstall the driver, but remove the unknown mark first (plug the device, right click on my computer, properties, device manager, then find device with question mark or X mark, then uninstall it)

If it has never work with the computer before:
- Try other driver, contact the device vendor, or find in internet
