I agree with Terry Hair. I have never seen a laptop with a rear-facing camera. That said, you can get a clip-on USB camera and face it however you wish.

Happy New Year!

If this is truly a laptop computer (as the topic indicates), there won't be a rear camera. Laptop cameras are for face-to-face communications, such as Skype. Smart phones have rear cameras and most also have front-facing ones to provide face-to-face when desired.

How doI set up f11 on this camera

Do you mean set the aperture at f/11?

If you want the camera to set the shutter speed for proper exposure, turn the mode dial to the A position for Aperture Priority. Press the +/- button to display the shutter speed and aperture. Press cursor-up/down to change the aperture and the camera will change the shutter speed to give the proper exposure.

If you want to set the shutter speed and aperture yourself, turn the mode dial to M for Manual. Press the +/- button. Press cursor-up/down to set the shutter speed, cursor-left/right to set the aperture.

Full details are in the Shooting Mode section of the manual.

If i put my camra on self timer win i print the pictures will the time show up on the pictures

The time it took the picture? You want to know if the camera will show the time it took the picture using the self timer?

My answer is Yes and No.

Do you have your camera set to showing the date and time on the pictures now? If you do, then using the self timer would not change anything.

If you do have it set to showing on the picture and you don't want the date and time to show then change the setting on the menu function of the camera and turn this option off.

If you do not already have the camera set to show the date and time, using the self timer option is not going to make it suddenly appear.

How doi reset the picture after replacing the bulb and housing

Hi,

It is not required to set the Picture after replacing the Lamp and Housing. To change the Picture Settings press the MENU button on the Remote, highlight PICTURE and press OK. There you'll get the option to select Picture Preset Mode, Picture Settings, Screen Format, Advanced Picture and Screen Adjust mode. You can customize the settings by selecting the each Picture Menu options.
Click here to download the manual of the TV. View page # 39 for the instructions to change the Picture Menu.

Good Luck!

The soft ware up date

I don't have enough information on your problem, to give you an intelligent answer, but if you are like me, and had purchased the camera with the original CD1 and CD2 disks, like I did back in 2001, the year when Agfa discontinued supporting their digital cameras and flatbed scanners, my CL18 was just about 1/2 off the normal price, and I figure that's why it was on sale, no support for it anymore, so the driver for WIN95/98/OSR2/WIN-XP was the last driver available, and I "suspect" that you're talking about the installation process, and if that's so, maybe I can help out.
I used the CL18 on a computer that came with WIN-XP Media Center Edition 2002, but this computer, which I bought after the other computer died on me, had WIN-Vista on it, so in order to use the CL18 digital camera to import pictures to the computer, I needed to remove WIN-Vista, which I kept on a set of Recovery disks, in case I ever want to put that back unto the computer, and I had purchased WIN-XP with Service Pack 1 on it back in 2002 I think it was, so I put WIN-XP on this computer, but I needed to download WIN-XP drivers for my computer hardware first, otherwise I may not have been able to access the Internet after installing WIN-XP to download drivers afterwards...at least the modem or DSL Cable/Modem drivers, and motherboard drivers, maybe the sound drivers and video drivers, etc. Get copies of them first for the computer that you're removing WIN-Vista from before installing WIN-XP...Maybe placing the drivers onto a CD or DVD maybe, or another hard drive, like I did with my external hard drive, which WIN-XP will "see," but WIN95 couldn't see.

When I ran the installation process with the CD that came with the CL18 camera, I saw the message where it stated that it was updating DCOM95, and/or that it couldn't update DCOM95, it also stated that the installation failed, or something like that, and if that's what you are talking about, then I'll let you know that all I did was to click on "Allow change," or whatever the message shows, but that was in the Spybot software, so if you run or use Spybot, and have the Spybot-SD Resident icon in the system tray, then go ahead and click on "Allow change," or whatever the choice is, then click on the message you see from the CL18 installation disk and let the computer reboot with the CL18 installation disk still in the CD/DVD ROM drive.
The installation should finish ok after the reboot if you kept the CD in the CD-ROM drive.
If you can't import pictures, like using the Corel Photo House 5 software that came with my CL18 camera, then you need to make sure that the Corel Photo House 5 software isn't using your webcam driver for example and you need to choose the Twain Driver in Corel Photo House 5 software before importing pictures.
In a couple of other posts I say how to get the Corel Photo House software to import pictures. The process of doing it the first time, after the first time, Corel Photo House 5 will use the same driver each time you start the software up, unless you choose another driver to import from another source, like a webcam for example, but basically, do the following for importing pictures:
Start Corel Photo House 5; Click on "Load photos from a digital camera;" Click on "Select source;" Click on "ePhoto CL18 TWAIN Driver [UI];" Click on "Select;" Click on "Proceed"
If the CL18 camera is plugged into the computer and turned on you should be all set to import pictures.
Anyway, the main thing is that "if" you're talking about the setup process in WIN-XP, you'll get the error message that says that it can't update DCOM95, or something like that, and it will say that the installation failed, but just click the choice there and the computer will reboot and the installation should complete, at least it did for me anyway.
One time I did need to reinstall using the Add Hardware way of doing that, and in that process it showed the CL18 driver as an available driver, and choosing that driver on the list of available drivers allowed the re-installation to work, and I needed to do that one time when I couldn't access the pictures in the camera even though the camera had previously been installed.
Hope that helps, Bernie

Only records movies, not pictures

Well if the menu wheel doesnt change settings its probally a defective scroll wheel .If the camera has been subjected to shock then tap or press lightly downwards onto the wheel.Another solution is to make sure that the camera is dry by putting it infront of the heater for short periods or leave it in the sun for 5-10 min if it has been wet or been in a place where condensation may occur.

Final resort get it repaired from sony or LCE .
