i bought Metra Ltd 70-7001 adapter for my Mitsubishi galant of 2000 !i connected the adapter to my new JVC KDR-200 CD Receiver ! the radio turns on and i can go to the menu and all that but i cant hear any sounds !my old radio emits sound but the new one doesnt! please help me out !what could be the problem ???

Hello jozeffushe,
First check all of the connections between your receiver harness and the Metra. The colors should match up. Then check each wire from the Metra harness to your vehicle wiring against the vehicle color code found here. If everything checks out, try resetting the receiver. Remove the faceplate (press the button at the lower left) and starting with the left side, gently pull the faceplace off. Now, using a ballpoint pen or similar object, press the reset button (Just left of the right edge near the bottom is a small hole with the reset button behind it.) for 1-2 seconds.
If this fails and you still have no sound, I'd suspect that the receiver is defective.
