Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

The speakers are making a crackling noise that is not effected by the volume

Check the speakers first. If the voice coil of the speaker has any fault, the speaker should be replaced. Connect an other speaker in place of present one, and see whether the crackling sound occurs with it too. If yes, the audio output board to your TV have the fault, and it should be replaced.

Wow that is not good. Sounds like you should just replace the whole power supply. The model is a UK model so I would look on EBAY for parts;/

Your speakers need replacing or you could turn down the volume till it stops and use it like that if it's not too quiet.

Error code 22 on a Mitsubishi WS-55907 55'' HDTV

your set is the V17 series so a code 22 means short protect. Which means the TV has a short circuit condition and is shutting down to prevent further damage. You can get a manual for the V17 sereis at the following link for 15.99 and they will provide free unlimited support to help you with the diagnosis and locating parts. Your set is coverd in the V17 sereis service manual under the mitsubishi section. Here is the link in case youd like the service manual and free support.

Check wiring lead dress==if someone sloppy was in it prior to you,the audio circuit wiring may be picking up some noise. 2)Or,you should check the hi-voltage jumper wire between xformer and hv divider block. It may be arcing. If so,replace the block and the hv jumper.
