You haven't asked a question. If you're looking for the year on a Fender Starcaster, you're missing a letter or two from the front of the serial number. I suspect you're looking for info about a different guitar than a Starcaster.
Starcasters are Fender's bottom of the line guitars that can be part of a low cost "Strat Pack" that includes a Squier amp. Chinese made, plywood, thinner than most other Fender electrics. Chinese made isn't the problem; the cheap parts are. The Made in China (not Crafted) Affinities 1996-1998 are outstanding guitars but still have cheap electronics and tuners but the bodies (1.75" alder) and amazing necks make them a little special and perfect for modding.
