Mike,

I'm sorry to hear about your problem but I fear you aren't the only one with it.

The Nobis NB09 Tablet simply has too little space partitioned for apps. It has only about 660 MB available. Just downloading and installing the updates for the native apps from the Store will result in the partition being filled to about 550 MB. This leaves only about 100 MB left for apps you want to add.
Click on *Settings* then click on *Storage* The top bar graph is your app partition. It will probably show as about 660 MB and the green bar is how full it is. It wouldn't surprise me if your green bar was at or near the right hand side meaning a full tank.

When full, nothing downloads from the Store. You can sit and look at the download bars forever and not a byte will be downloaded.

The second bar graph is your total built-in SD card memory. It's supposed to be 8 GB but it's shows about 5.5 GB. It looks like a lot of empty space but none of this can be used to download apps.
It's only available for pictures, music, videos, etc.

From time to time to time there will be an app you run across that will be able to install on the external microSD card you can push into the slot on the back. And one or two of the native apps might be able to be moved to this external microSD card. But, you STILL have too little room to add extra apps.

Nobis simply didn't allocate enough space for app installation and you are stuck with the native apps plus maybe three large or six to eight smaller apps before the internal app space is FULL.

Just feel lucky that what little app memory you have still works. Mine went bad after less than two months and it remembers NOTHING. Every time I turn it off it boots into the set-up mode and retains no changes I made prior. It will not download a thing from the store because the app partition reads in the bar graph 0.00B available. IOW, bad memory. I am currently tryig to get a response from the Midland website that took over Nobis and they claim they will reply within 48 hours. It's been two days and no reply so far. There is a phone number listed to call for a RMA (return merchandise authorization) I might have call it if they don't reply to the email.
Basically the NobisNBO9 is junk. Do a little Googling and many many people have problems such as it not booting up - I feel this is all to do with memory gone bad. Cheap Chinese memory - not reliable enough to last more than a month or two.

You might need to install an sd card they range from 2 to 32 gb and are available most anywhere. If there is already an sd card installed you might need to move everything to a larger sd card with your computer.

SOURCE: Having trouble download apps to nobis tablet it keep frozng

Does this have an SD card installed? If so it might be corrupted or failing. If not, try a hard shutdown or of you have access to battery area remove battery for a minute then reinstall battery and power tablet back up. One other option would be to go into download and delete any failed downloads and try them again.

My nobis keeps on going to Androiud is upgrading

If it keeps going to the Store to upgrade but can't ever get anything downloaded, it might be that your internal, SD card, App memory partition has gone bad. Too check its status, touch Settings > Storage and observe the top horizontal bar graph which is your App partition. If it's all one color and says 00.0 bytes then it has gone bad. Your device is pretty much useless should this be the case. The only remedy is to return it for repair.

Why won't my tablet download apps off the play store?

Your internal memory app partition is gone. The Nobis NBO9 has some serious issues with bad internal memory storage. Yours is undoubtedly unable to download anything from the Store because the operating system *sees* no place to download them to.

Go to Settings > Storage and examine the top horizontal bar graph. It will probably be all one color and the text under it will probably say 00.0 bytes of storage. This means bad internal memory.

You are stuck with a broken tablet unless you can manage to get Nobis, now Bidwell to issue an RMA. Good luck with that as they don't seem to eager to stand behind their defective product.

Nobis tablet has 5 gig space left, when trying to download new apps, message pops us saying there is insufficient space on device

you will need to reduce space, delete unwanted files items and create space for new apps, alternately see if you have a microsd card (external storage) which is not full.

Does my nobis nb09 have to be hooked up to usb and laptop or desk top to add to devices.

You just need correct USB cable if you have a windows laptop or PC.
Driver is "class-compliant" loads automatically.
