Hi Mike,

There is a possibility that the Wi-Fi may not have been enabled so please let me know the system model so that I can let you know what needs to be done. You may also send me the system service tag so that if Wi-Fi is already enabled then I can check and provide the right Wi-Fi driver.

Thanks & Regards,
Kiran K

Hi man, one of my clients had a same problem . the best way is by reinstalling a wifi driver. do this by going to control panel-hardware and sound, then click device manager. under network adapters uninstalling all the drivers. next restart computer.
if this dosent work follow by downloading a diffrent wifi driver on another internet enabled laptop or phone and transfere to your pc and install. thanks

Dell inspiron 560 won't recognize network adapter

if there is no netework adapter in device manager or any device that is not instaled try checking in BIOS if it is enabled. sometimes after power loss bios is reset. if it is enabled in BIOS that short power outage probably killed your network adapter. you can add some PCI network adapter and solve your problem.

Make sure your wifi switch is turned on. If that doesn't work, try taking out the battery of your laptop, waiting at least 10 seconds, and then rebooting. If THAT doesn't work, try system restore and take it back until before your wifi quit working.

If it is the wifi card and not the ethernet you can plug in with a hard wire.
If not you are going to need to download them from a different pc, to a flash drive and install from there.
If you have a smartphone you can download it to the sd card on your droid or iphone, use the usb cable and install from there.
