How can I make my v457a work it stop

Can you say how it stopped working, please? Does 'it would not start' mean absolutely nothing happens or what, please?

Perhaps your machine stops when it has reached the desired humidity level you selected. It doesn't have to be empty when it reaches that selected level. My mother thought the same thing but was so relieved to find out it was working properly all the time.

My crane cool mist stopped misting. I always use filter water. Cleaned it with vinegar. What's can I do?

Best way to clean it is with vinegar, it will break up the mineral deposits I'm sure the element has on it. If it is like mine the element is covered in white scale, and has stopped working. May not be worth the effort though, my element is now completely clean but the unit still auto-shuts off after about 5 min.

unfortunately on a cool mist unit the mist shouldn't show up. on most units that's what it does. the warm mist units show the mist.. the best way to tell is if you put your hand over the spout that the mist is suppose to come out of for about 2 minutes and you pull it away and it feel clammy then it's working. if your hand is still dry please let me know and i'll see what else i can do for you.

It started working again on its own. Not much of a solution!

I think some water must have got into the electronics and then once it dried, the humidifier started to work again.
