Manuals and guides may be located online at KITCHENAID.COM.
In the upper-right hand corner of the site, click on CUSTOMER CARE and then click on LOCATE MANUALS AND GUIDES.
It will then ask you for your model number.
For a coffee maker, the model number is located on a white sticker underneath the machine.
On the website, type in your model number exactly as it appears on this sticker and click GO.
This will then bring up the literature listing for your particular unit. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the files.
Also, Kitchenaid Customer Service will send you a physical copy of an instruction manual at no charge if you choose to call them. Their toll-free telephone number is:
1.800.541.6390.

The steam guage is rather slow to respond and the pointer has become detatched on my machine but it's working well and froths good after about 5 minutes from start up, although I do tend to leave my machine on all day and just make sure that there is sufficient fresh water in the tank
SOURCE: I think the elect is gone on the machine but can

Have you de-scaled it recently? Or have you cleaned the coffee screen ? try running it from cold with the Portafilla off and see how much comes through then. Also have you change your coffee grind or tamp ?
SOURCE: Hi, got Kitchen Aid Artisan
Hi all, got a Artisan 5KPES100 and I'm not getting any water thru' the espresso boiler. Machine is making an occasional noise & sometimes just releasing a bit of steam thru' the espresso boiler, but no water. Have replaced the water pump, but still no water being drawn from the water tank. Hose is NOT kinked & there IS sufficient water in tank. Could it be the solenoid? Can I swap over the solenoids(coils) to check as frothing boiler is still producing water & steam? Any ideas would be magic.
