Iam replacng my home a/c blower motor. My unit hasa red a black and a white wire. My new motor has a black wire a blue wire a red wire and a yellow wire. I need to know which color wire goes to which

On the original motor, red was low speed, black was high speed and white was common. The new motor should either have a diagram on the side of it or within the box for verification, but the black SHOULD also be high speed and the red wire SHOULD be low speed , the blue wire SHOULD be medium and the yellow SHOULD be common. However, you MUST verify those connections on the wiring diagram provided with the new motor before you connect or you will probably let out the MAJIC SMOKE !!! The speed you decide not to utilize can just be taped off and zip tied to the bundle.

You made no comment about two brown wires, and if either motor has two browns, they go to the run capacitor.

How to connect a plug electric dryer to a 4 plug outlet

for short, just dont mind the color.. the black wire from the new plug goes to right in/on the appliance terminal block, the white from the new plug goes to both white in the middle of the same terminal block and the red wire from the new plug goes to left terminal block of the appliance therminal block and of coarse the green from the new plug goes to the appliance frame.. no need nor sense in trying to figure the wire color of the appliance as it does not mean anything really and it does not follow any rules nor standards..

I disconnected the pump and need to know where the red black aND WHITE wires go

Hi, this is John the Hayward tech. You say the wire colors are Red, Black and White. Does not seem that the wires colors were correct from the start. Not knowing your voltage let me clarify some things. Normally if you have 115volts coming into the pump you wire colors should be Red or Black to L1 White to L2 and a green ground to the green ground screw. If you have 230volts coming into the pump the two hot leads are normally red and black with a green ground. The red and black wires go to L1 and L2 does not matter red or black. The green goes to the green ground screw.

I need to know what colors go to each speakers

From an aftermarket head unit the color code will most often conform to the CEA standardized colors.

12V+ Constant - Yellow
12V+ Switched - Red
Ground - Black (sometimes with spade terminal)
Remote - Blue/White (sometimes with slide terminal)
Left Front Speaker Positive - White
Left Front Speaker Negative - White/Black
Right Front Speaker Positive - Gray
Right Front Speaker Negative - Gray/Black
Left Rear Speaker Positive - Green
Left Rear Speaker Negative - Green/Black
Right Rear Speaker Positive - Violet
Right Rear Speaker Negative - Violet/Black

If you are using a vehicle specific wiring harness, simply splice the head unit harness and vehicle specific harnesses together, color-for-color. If you are not using a vehicle specific harness, you need to identify the wire colors used by the vehicle manufacturer. There's many "databases" that have such information, including:

Bare wire is ground goes in green color screw, white wire is neutral and goes in silver color screw, black wire is hot or live and goes in gold color screw. I hav a 95 berrta and im tying to put a head unit

Hello chrisuftring,

Here's a link to the wiring color code for the '95 Chevy Beretta.

You'll need to match the function of each wire from your head unit and the color code for that would be in your manual. Most aftermarket units are somewhat standard as far as power, accessory, ground, and speaker connections are concerned. But the wiring colors may be different for such leads as remote, power antenna, illumination, dimmer, and muting.

An Alpine head unit has the following wiring colors:
Blue - Power Antenna
Blue/White - Remote
Pink/Black - Audio Interrupt (muting)
Orange - Illumination
Red- Switched 12V+
Yellow - Constant 12V+
Black - Ground
Gray - RF Speaker (+)
Gray/Black - RF Speaker (-)
White - LF Speaker (+)
White/Black LF Speaker (-)
Violet - RR Speaker (+)
Violet/Black RR Speaker (-)
Green - LR Speaker (+)
Green/Black - LR Speaker (-)

With this head unit, you would wire Yellow to Orange, Red to Yellow, Black to Black, Orange to Gray, Blue to Pink, Gray to Light Green, Gray/Black to Dark Green, White to Tan, White/Black to Gray, Violet to Dark Blue, Violet/Black to Light Blue, Green to Brown, and Green/Black to Yellow.

Note that there are 2 "yellow" wires in your vehicle color code. You'll have to test them to determine which one is the accessory wire and which one goes to the left rear speaker. Using a 12V "test light" is the simplest. Connect one side of the light to ground. With the ignition ON probe the yellow wires. One of them should light the tester, the other one won't. Verify that the light goes out when the ignition is OFF and your have separated the redundant "yellows". The one that lit the tester is your 12V+ switched wire and the other one goes to the left rear speaker.

Hope this helps.

Sensors

I think someone has used wiring that didn't come with the opener. One the rear of the motor unit are wiring terminals. The sensors connect to terminals 2 and 3. Whichever color wire is connected to terminal 2 goes to the screw marked white and the wire on terminal 3 goes to the screw marked black. This information is if you have a Craftsman or Chamberlain opener.

What are the colors of the speaker wires in a dodge stratus 1997 coming from the wire harness of the car itself

The easiest way is to check the speakers themselves as manufacturers tend to change colors of speakers at a whim. Usualy though you will have 8 wires (4 front & 4 rear) paired in colours (white goes with white+black stripe(stripe is possative on speaker))etc.
Not knowing the cars electrics I can't be more specific.(I live in UK so don't know that much about U.S. cars)
