Any magician can make a trick look easy - but NOTHING replaces years of training and experience. That said, here's your answer:

  1. Enter the I2C Service Menu, be sure the power is OFF.
  2. On the front control panel, press and hold the INPUT button. Then press the POWER button for two seconds. You may keep the INPUT button depressed until you see the OSD with the Service Menu displayed.
If you don't see the service menu, please repeat Process making sure you wait until the Power blinking LED stops.
COPY DOWN THESE SETTINGS:
IMPORTANT: The following are Service Adjustments. These Data Values are lost when Memory Initialization is preformed. It's important to write the values down before proceeding.

    Scroll up to “MEMORY INTI”

    1. Execute the Memory Initialize operation after the adjustment values have been written on a sheet of paper. Highlight “MEMORY INTI”, arrow to the right and hold the button to the right (approx 5 sec.) until a check mark appears in the box. This activates the Memory Initialization.

    2. After the Memory initialize operation has finished (10~15 sec, the channel will revert to CH 3.) the pink image symptom should be fixed.

    3. Write back the adjustment values from your notes to their respective adjustment parameters in the adjustment mode. (In other words, set the Data Values back to the the Data values written down before the Memory Initialization procedure). NOTE: Make sure the SELECT Button is pressed on remote after every change to the values. Failure to do so will result in the data values not being changed.

    4. Exit I2C menu. Press exit repeatedly until you go back to the normal picture.

    5. Turn the set off-on and Confirm the picture remains in a good condition.

A tech can do this over and over buth the problem remains... Eventually the board on the light engine will have to be replaced. And the frequency at which the problem keeps happening will increase...

    Please don't kill the messenger

    and Good Luck!

There is a function in your camera setup menu to format memory cards. It won't make any difference to the reddish hue of the pictures, but it will delete everything on the card.

No, you can use any SD card, and in fact you are using the card you have. Your camera can take and display pictures, so it is using already. These cards are digital- they either work or they don't. You might get a corrupted picture file but a memory fault wouldn't just add a hue to all shots like a film might.

It won't hurt to get a new card and try it- then you can tell them that you did what they said and it didn't help. The card will be of use as a spare or to hold more shots on holiday. At some point you need to return this camera as it seems to have a fault, but it sounds like they are trying to blame the old card instead of giving you a replacement or repair.

Sony KP-53HS30 Projection TV has pink and blue hue w/timer blink

Depending on your TV, you may have a Color Temperature (Color Temp) and/or Hue setting in the menu. Use these options to adjust the picture to the setting that best suits your viewing preference.
If your TV has a Color Temp setting, you will normally have the following options to select from:
  • Cool: Gives the picture a cooler, slightly bluish appearance.
  • Neutral: Gives the picture a neutral, more natural look and appearance.
  • Warm: Gives the picture a warmer, slightly reddish appearance.
If your TV has a Hue setting, follow the appropriate step below to make adjustments:
  1. Move the setting to the right to reduce the reddish appearance.
  2. Move the setting to the left to reduce the greenish appearance.

Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-24FS120 24" TV Color changes

Try turning down (off) the color during such an episode. If the image is tinted pink or green instead of black and white when you do this, you have either an intermittent short in your CRT (tube), which is terminal,or a gun drive problem, which may be repairable. If you're feeding it component instead of composite signal,it may just be a bad connection of the B-Y cable.
