Doing the adjustment is not actually a fix, all that does is change the drive amount of the green CRT which allows the set to work but the 3 CRts will be out of balance so picture color will be affected. The only way to repair a bad CRT is to replace the CRT itself. You can get replacement Green CRT from www.tvrepairworld.com

this unit may have a resistor on the green crt-board that has increased in value. check ohms(resistance) on all crt boards and compare to one another. these will have color bands that inicate value of resistance. you do not need to know color code, just match colors of resistors on each board then measure. you could also have weak green tube. turning down the master screen control located on the fous/screen block can reduce grn. drive. to adjust proper drive for each so the grey scale is correct, turn color to tv all the way down then adjust screen controls on block for black & white picture. when color is turned all the way down, you should not have any green, red, or blue over cast on screen. mch
Your alignment is off. Go to the set up menu then convergence. hit right and you will be in the convergence menu. select the color that is not in alignment. The green line does not move. if blue and green are lined up the line will be cyan. if red and green are lined up the line will be yellow. when all three are lined up the color will be light. You probablly have bad solder joints on your Video driver transistors, which arre located on each Picture Tube. You can only get to those by going through the front, grille cover
Is good that you hit it and it reacts,very likely you have loose conections in different places but for the distorted picture you need to check the horizontal driver transformer and flyback after that is corrected you need to check the complete chassis for loose conections.Take your time.Good luck.
