Re: how do I get my pc to accept memory card from digi...
If you already have a card reader and it's not connecting to your system, it may be defective. I had that problem, and got a new card reader. Problem solved.

i suggest you connect your camera to a laptop or pc and extract all the images via the camera using the camera as memory card reader once done remove the memory card and format it
XD cards are now obsolete memory cards. The cards were developed by Olympus and Fujifilm and released during the summer of 2002. There is now an adapter that allows an SD card to be used in place of the XD card You need to remember that the capacity should not exceed 2 GB or the camera will not be able to accept it. As far as I know cameras accepting XD cards were last produced in 2007, I don't know what specific models however the camera specifications would show what type card it uses.
I'm going to show you a diagram that has to do with the card lock on the side of your memory card this slide is there to protect a card with images on it so it's not put back in the camera and formatted Card lock Once you have unlocked the memory card you need to format the card to make it ready to accept new pictures from your camera. I hope you download your images first before formatting.
Check your memory card and see if it has a lock switch on it, if it does and it is locked it wont accept images for overwrite protection , another possibility is a faulty or non-readable card, some memory cards will not work with some devices, sometimes a kingston memory will not work and if you insert a sony or a memorex or any other manufacturer it may work or accept the card, if the camera does not read the card it will not save pics therefore u wont see any images on your PC o in cam playback, try that and see if it works for you, let me know.
you probably wanted to put -em from the the camera in pc ..to edit ..and after that into the frame ...the things are easy ...the camera is connecting with the data cable ...and downloading its kids game ...puting em back to the camera just look into the my computer when the camera is connected and you will find it as a removable storage device ..that is the actually SD card..and copy paste em back ...in fact you can also proceed the same when you take em out ....after editing and so ...it depends on which way the frame accept info ...from usb cable ...from usb stick ..or from memory card...if the frame has memory card than you can just put the card into a card reader and load the photo direct with copy paste ...or ..if the frame has a cable connection you have to make the connection with your pc ...and upload pics or with the camera ...depend on the frame type ..and the way it connects ...for better and more precise information let me know the exact digi frame model ...or at least how it accepts uploads..
connect the data cable to the computer & ur digi cam !!!! now keep the cam in the dispaly pic mode & switch on ur cam !!! now the digi cam operates like a pen drive u can now copy the images and paste it in ur system
I've solved it. I'll bet a buck you also bought a memory card reader. If you hook the memory card (or camera) to a computer, you'll see a directory with a name like fuji_999. After you download the pictures delete that directory from the memory card, and the problem's solved. I just did it with a 1 gig xd card in my daughter's fuji 480. It had a main directory on the card called DXsomething, and 2 subdirectories, fuji_100, and fuji_999. I deleted all three directories (after saving the photos), and the problem is gone. Hope it works for you.
