It doesn't. The DXG-301V uses standard AA batteries, either disposable or rechargeable. If you choose to use rechargeable batteries, you must charge them outside the camera using a separate charger.

The fact that your camera was not used for a year and assuming the batteries remained in the camera (uncharged?) after that long a period of time, it would be very likely the batteries have deteriorated and may need to be replaced. The first thing to try is charging the batteries if you have not already done so. Plug in the charger and allow at least 12 hours for the batteries to charge. If the camera still will not work, the original batteries have very likey lost their ability to hold a charge and will have to be replaced. To test this, without spending too much money, try inserting 4 Alkaline AA batteries in the camera (observe the battery polarity marked on the flip-top battery cover). If the camera works, you should replace the batteries with fresh NiMh rechargeable batteries and charge them before you attempt to use the camera. Allow at least 12 hours for the initial charge unless the battery manufacturer suggests otherwise. I would not recommend using any form of "rapid" or "quick" charge rechargeable battery. If you do, you will be paying extra for a convenience you will not use, unless you plan to use an external quick charger, since the camera is not equipped to support rapid battery charging.

There is no way you can charge it. You can buy a battery charger so you can put battery in the charger and not waste money buy another batteries again. Buy a battery that can charge. You cannot buy battery that are not support battery charger. sometime it will cause explosion

used a usb cord come with DXG-305, you dont need batteries to connect it to computer, because usb deliver the power to the cam
