I have the camera in my old computer but my new one will not take the camera. I even tried it with the disc and my new computer won't take it.Can you help me.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

There is a serious problem, tehcnicians code 99, and the camera needs to be repaired. Because of the age I would recommend a new camera. A new Canon A480 sells for about $100 and has many more features than you old one.
Buy a USB card reader. You can get one that reads multiple formats (CF, SD, memory stick, etc) very inexpensively, usually less than $10. With the card reader, any current OS (Windows XP/Vista, Mac OS X) can see all the pictures on the card -- you don't need to connect your camera to the computer at all.
Doesn't work with Vista Operating System.
