How do I free my bowl; I inserted it crooked on the track and cannot get it free. What do I do? PLEASE HELP! I need to use it again soon!!!

I've tried to get it free of the track; I tried to oil the bottom of the bowl where it is stuck, but I cannot get the bowl to move. Do I need to take it to a repair shop?

Make sure you know which way you need to turn it to release it and then thump the handle in that direction with the heel of your hand. There is not really any other way that to "unscrew" it again.

I bought a Oster stand mixer and the Glass bowl slider will not slide under the plastic stand holders

Hi,

Please double check that you're not inserting the bowl backwards. If this is not the case, you might have to disassemble and then reassemble your machine prior to attempting to insert the bowl again. Also, you might add some oil to the glass bowl to help it slide under the plastic stand holders.

Thank you.

Hi I have a Kitchen aid 600 mixer that is making a clicking/knocking noise even when just the head is turned on, (even without the bowl and any attachments). My warranty period just finished a few months...

Perhaps there's info on this product -free PDF- at http://www.manualowl.com. Give it a try and see if there's anything listed in Index of manual for Troubleshooting. If not, try a letter to manufacturer. Don't get emotional - just state facts. Start letter how much you love their product and dissatisfied with item's performance, especially NOW that warranty has just expired. Ask if there is a possibility, please, that they can replace product if you pay postage. Get actual cost in WRITING should they agree so no surprises later. Good luck! Jimmy

My h 600 will only run when i hold the start button as soon as i let go it stops

If it has a bowl guard on it then the problem could be either the bowl height switch or the side switch on the contactor. If it does not have a bowl guard then the side switch on the contactor is the problem. If it has a bowl guard, make sure the bowl lift is operating the bowl height switch. The bowl must be all the way up to operate the bowl height switch.

I have a kitchenaid stand mixer & the top is wobbly & hangs lower than it should & the plastic coating on the beater is starting to come off. How can I fix this?

Hi TH1754, you don?t mention your KA mixer model, but you can easily download a PDF version of your Owners Manual from the KA website: (http://www.kitchenaid.com/flash.cmd?/#/page/home). Click on Customer Care>Locate Manuals& Guides> and enter the 6 character model number (for this example, I?ve used a KSM90P mixer) and select the last file listed that appears under Owners Manuals: KSM90PSWW0.pdf (2930.74 KB) and save that file to your PC. You?ll need to have Adobe Reader to be able to open it. Turn to Page 11 and you will find the instructions for adjusting the mixer head height. I have extracted the instructions below: Beater to Bowl Clearance Your mixer is adjusted at the factory so that the flat beater just clears the bottom of the bowl. If for any reason, the flat beater hits the bottom of the bowl or is too far away from the bowl, clearance Tilt-Head models ? Unplug mixer. ? Lift motor head. ? Turn screw (A) SLIGHTLY counter clockwise (left) to raise flat beater or clockwise (right) to lower flat beater. ? Make adjustment with flat beater, so it just clears surface of bowl. If you over adjust the screw, the bowl lock lever may not lock into place. I hope this helps! ?Howard, Burke, VA If this solution has helped you, please rate it, thanks! - hslincoln
