Remote codes Olevia ltl, trying to set code for proview 17" Lcd monitor

i have a proview 2200w it comes on for about 3 seconds and goes off with the blue light still on

Depends - it can easily be a bad cord, or you could simply have the cords reversed. Yes, I bet you have them in according to their colors, as in red to red and green to green, but it you reverse those colors from the monitor to the CPU, you might get the monitor's speakers to work.

Also, the monitor does have a speaker setting in the configuration, through the monitor's menu. Try first to Google the monitor brand and type, and if you find it, follow those instructions. Otherwise, just start looking into the monitor's menu and config system. Do not change anything until you are certain that you have found the right setting.
Then, go for it.

I suspect your Computers Display settings need adjustments and or a Driver from Proview installed...therefor if you can get on the net, I would look at FAQ's on Proviews Website, i.e:

No. The newer LCDs can do both. But they are a TV to start with the option to hook up a Desktop.

We cant find our original element remote control. I just tried 10178 on the direct tv remote control and it worked YEAH!!!! We just can't do the screen size edit thing with it :(. Might still have to order a replacement element remote. This works for now. Thanks.

Try these 0835, 1401, 1498, 0001, 0178, or 0030; these are what I have foudn from 10 different web sites. No answerr from Proview tech support
