Question about Alpine CDA-7840
I have this head unit it has the black out feature (which i am not sure what use it is) I turn the vehicle on and everything works i just cant tell what station I am listening to or what track on the disc I am on its completely blacked out after a while (half hour sometimes longer) it will light up perfect. I have tried cleaning the connections between the face and unit no luck there any suggestion would be great thanks
I have the exact same problem and it has been driving me nuts for several years now. I have tried everything with no luck. I finally resorted to buying a used faceplate on eBay (and they had several available so I suspect this is a common problem). I will let you know how it turns out.
