Need to know how to hook up brake light safty wires for the alpine AVIC801

It depends on your car. When the parking brake is engaged, it completes a circuit. You need to find out ifthe wiring for your parking brake is +12 volts or ground.

I connect my alpine cva 1003 to valor dv-169T dvd player. sounds come out but the screen is not getting connected to dvd player. i connect red, white and yellow wires.

if evrything is ok with the dvd (make sure the dvd is working fine), you need to hook up the yellow/ blue wires and yellow / black wires one for parking breack and the other for the breack chek the diagram on top of the alpine radio .

What color wire do i hook the pink wire to

Pink wire is generally the parking brake safety. If you dont want the dvd player to play video while in drive wire it to the ground on your parking brake sensor wire. If you do want it to play video while your driving, wire it directly back to the ground wire on your stereo.

Where does the parking brake wire hook up in order to bi-pass this option on alpine iva-c800 car audio system

based on my previous experience with the Alpine Mobile Multimedia Station, 1 wire needs to see 12 volts ie. brake light wire, the other needs to see ground ie. parking brake.

You can hook up the wire that needs 12 volts to either ignition or some other 12 volt source. The other wire needs to be connected to a toggle switch to ground. Then flip the switch as needed to simulate the parking brake and voila...

Wire loom for Alpine IVA C801

Ebay has a good seller for these items, specialtyelectronics.  He has all of those fairly inexpensive, I just bought one.  His stuff is genuine, some of the others on ebay have "non-factory" ones.
