SOURCE: i have an squire vintage modified jazz bass. the

I would suggest that you search the web regarding this problem. It is rare that the nut (near the headstock) would cause a problem with intonation. There is a minimum clearance to the first fret which the height of the nut controls. If it is too low that will cause fret buzz. The bridge would be a more probable cause with intonation.

Tune Guitar strings 1,2 & 3 to Banjo and play with finger pickers. Bass strings to accompany. Developed complicated chords (Including Bass strings) I need to record this on paper - any tips?

Are you familiar with Tablature notation. It's instrument specific and instead od a regular staff you maje a duagram od the instruments strings looking down on the neck and then instead of notes the number of the fret goes on the relevant 'string'
https://www.guitartricks.com/helptab.php
and it's similar for banjo. Google tablature explained and a page comes up with a selection of instrument tabs.

As near as I can tell, your bass was built in Japan in September of 1971, about the 500th of that model. Sorry I can't be more specific. . .

How to adjust truss rod on fender duff mckagan bass

The truss rod adjustment is on the body end of the neck, not at the headstock.
You need to;
remove the strings
unscrew the neck from the body
Make a small adjustment
Re-attach the neck
Re-string the bass
rinse and repeat until satisfied

Im getting an annoying hum from my squire deluxe active v bass how can I fix this?

There are various things that could be causing the hum, best to start out on the smallest thing and go from there, could be dust gettting inside the volume or tone pots, check the ground wire that is soldered under the bridge plate to make sure it has a good solder and is not loose, etc. if all else fails, a quick fix is to place black electrical tape across the pick-ups, this will knock out some of the hum and help ground the instrument somewhat.
