It could mean burnt motor, but it could mean that it's simply got gunk in it, and it needs cleaning/lubricating. You'd have to take it apart to tell. A burnt motor has a very specific smell. If you take it apart, and there's no burnt smell, likely cleaning and lubricating will fix it.
I talked to an Omega tech, and he walked me through a home fix. If you open the juicer and look at the switch from below there are two sets of connections. Just move the red, blue, white connections to the opposite side (make sure the unit is unplugged when doing this).
There may be an overload switch somewhere on the unit, it will just be a small button projecting from the underside most probably or in a small hole. If there is, just depress it. If the unit actually burned out yu would have seen smoke and smelled it.
The motor sounds like it overloaded, I doubt it has a thermal cutout fitted (in which case you could leave it off for a while and see if it works) I doubt it has this feature and if it is the motor then the unit should be replaced.
1-973-287-5150. VERY SHORT WARRANTY. IF OUT OF WARRANTY GO FOR SOMETHING BETTER. GOOGLE FERNS NUTRITION, THEY SELL JUICERS AND GIVE GOOD ADVICE. I HAVE AN ACME SINCE 1990 AND RUNS LIKE THE DAY I GOT IT. TAKE A LOOK AT THE LEXEN GP62. THE HUROM SLOW JUICER IS GREAT, BUT BIG BUCKS.
The stainless bar should be on the correct slots on top of the juicer.
It has a safety switch on those bars. Smell the motor from under the
juicer, it should not smell like burnt. Press hard on the switch, it
might be loose.
