Question about Bushnell Cameras

1 Answer

My bushnell 119426 trail cam took 2200 pics in 24 hours of which 540 were listed as invalid image. What is wrong? The New batteries Energizer Lithium were 2 months old and were down to .7 volts.

Replaced Batteries. Now seems to work ok. Why would lithium batteries drain that fast? My other 2 cameras the batteries last over 2 yrs.

Check the hdd, flash memory or sd card, or the system that it uses to record the photo

Testimonial: "The SD card works fine in one of the other Trail Cams. It was an 8gb card and not full. Put in new batteries and it seems to work fine. Not sure why the batteries failed so quickly. The lithium have lasted over 2 yrs in the other 2 trail cams."

Camera shuts down after 1-2mins an does not take pics

Just to let you I had Moultire m-80 when I used a pny sd card it ruined my camera. They were kind enough to replace it for me. I just use what they recommended do not have any more problems. I only delete pic on my computer and not digital camera. Try doing a hard reset take everything out turn to the on position for about 2-3 minutes after 3 min put brand new battery's in it while on the on position should say no card at this time. If doesn't turn camera off put sandisk sdhc card in it. Test camera again if still not working Moultire will help you I have talked them great customer service.

How many hours will 4 AA lithium batteries power a constant draw of 2.5 watts?

2.5 Watts sounds pretty high for an LED strip. If the batteries are paralled and the applied power is 1.5 Volts, then you will be pulling 1.6 amps - the batteries won't last long at all. The batteries are good for around 2500maH, (Milliamp hours). so figure you may get around 2 hours of life for the batteries.

Batteries last only a few days tried default setting but they still run down in a few days

Try using the Energizer Lithium batteries in this unit. They have an extended life on them and usually they will be a better battery especially in game trail cameras. We use these in all of our game trail cameras, cuddeybacks and bushnells. They work extremely well for us. Also, try contacting moultrie through there customer service site and most times if they can not help you with the unit, they will replace the unit, or work with you.
Hope this helps.

Model 11-9305 trail cam only works one day after setup. takes good pics only for one event

The problem with the Bushnell Trail Sentry 11-9305 is that it is a power hog...I got this camera for Christmas 2009 and it had 2500 milliamp hour batteries with it and no solar panel...I have lots of coons and rabbits coming to the feeder and had up to 50 pics/night...The batteries would only last for three days or so...Since then I have ordered 10,000
milliamp/hr batteries and the appropriate solar panel that fits it...
When the batteries get low, the camera shuts off....
So, the problem may be that you had some bad batteries to start with..(Only takes one)
The first thing I would do is put heavy duty alkaline batteries in it...
(You'll have to reset the day and time)
If the alkaline batteries work for several days then do what I did...Get the solar panel that is made for it and HEAVY duty NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) rechargable batteries...(9000 or 10,000 milliampere hours)
You can buy these on E-Bay for about $26.00 for 4 batteries with free shipping...
Hope this helps !!!
