Check all of your speaker wire connections at both ends for looseness, strand wire fraying/breakage, correct polarity and corrosion. If all are ok, reduce your setting for the amount of bass it outputs.

I have a Panasonic HT-692 surround sound system. Any time I use the surround sound features and turn the volume to a higher level(not ear piercing mind you) the system cuts off as if a ckt breaker has

If you are playing the unit that loud, for an extended time it sounds like the unit is going into overload, meaning it's getting to hot. Try turning the volume down to 1/2 of your current level. If it stays running, you will have to cut back on your volume, before you seriously damage the unit(or your hearing)

My panasonic sa ht930 volume when you give me presents on the screen and I f6 1 off

F61 is an error code.
It will automatically shuts down your unit.
This is very common on your unit.

Try to checked if the fan is working or not.
I have repaired some unit before, this is the caused why f61 appeared.
The symptom is shutting down the unit after a few minute.
If the fan is not working it will shuts off automatically to avoid further damaged to your output I.C. from overheating.

If confirmed that the fan is working then I've suspect that your output I.C. is shorted.
This is quit technical and need to send to repair shop to isolate the faulty parts.
The output IC of your unit is RSN series and quite expensive.

Pls rate my help.

Thaks for using fixya...

If the sub has a volume control, turn it down then turn up the volume on the amp to the very high volume you mentioned. If it still has very low muffled sound, then we know the problem is about the amp.
