Question about Apple iPhone4 4G iPhone 4
Double tap your home button and swipe up to close the apps if ur running iOS 7 or higher. If your on iOS 6 or lower, you can still double press the home but instead you will see icons at the bottom of your screen with small X's. Tap those to close your background apps.
It's possible that you have to many apps running at one time and it's taking all the available memory. Closing the apps completely will release the memory.
If the problem still persists. You can always back up your phone through iTunes and/or iCloud. After that, you can perform a restore on the phone.
If the phone is still slow after a restore, the only option left is to upgrade. Unfortunately when Apple releases a new iOS for newer models of the phone, the lower model phones slow down reason being is that the newest iOS is optimized for the newest model of iPhone.
Hope this helps
