My advice would be: go to Landsman Smokey Mountain/search parts lists for their propane smoker/order the proper burner, mounts, regulator and hose. Assemble according to the Parts diagram. install a wood chip box. Happy Smoking.

Recently purchased a Masterbuilt Vertical Gas Smokehouse LP Smoker #15888 from a Sears going out of business, they did not provide instructions on how to use

Are you certain of the Model Number you furnished? As it does not match any of the Masterbuilt Smokers (Electric, Charcoal or Gas) in my current, up to date, data base.

Please advise. Thanks.

I have a masterbilt propane smoker with no decent instructions. Do I still have to use charcoal?

No, no charcoal is necessary. If you used charcoal, you'd go from low and slow smoking, to high and fast grilling. That's not something you want or can do with a propane smoker. For more information and recipes go to www.masterbuilt.com

There was no users manual with the smoker. do i use charcoal or lava rocks and where do i put them

Hi,

I have used a number of propane smokers and your propane burner will be located at the bottom of the smoker cabinet and you should have a wood / charcoal box above that in which you can place your charcoal or wood.

I have attached a picture that shows the wood / charcoal box. It's not the same smoker but it will give you an idea.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Which smoker is better - gas, electric or charcoal?

The electric smoker is made to be the most convenient and easiest to use smoker. However, the electric smoker has limited adjustability in regards to cooking temperature. The gas smoker is convenient and portable, but a gas tank is required for use. The gas smoker offers a greater range in cooking temperatures. The charcoal smoker has an adjustable temperature range and charcoal chips or nuggets are required to operate.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE CHAR BROIL H20 SMOKER NOT ELECTRICAL

Most of the small vertical smokers will contain, a charcoal pan, a water pan, and grills. That is about it for internal parts. The charcoal pan goes on the bottom and the water pan will go above that and then the grills. I hope this helps.

NEED BASIC COOKING INSTRUCTIONS. HOW TO COOK ON A CHAR-BROIL H20 CHARCOAL SMOKER. I PICKED A NEVER BEEN USED ONE AT A GARAGE SALE. IT DID NOT HAVE ANY INSTRUCTIONS WITH IT. PLEASE PROVIDE.

You can find your manual here.
http://www.brinkmann.net/products/details.aspx?item=810-5301-C

It should explain the process. I use a smoker a lot so my tips are, keep the temps as close to 225 as possible, reload your charcoal as soon as the temps start falling, don't peak, and patience will make for really good cooks.

I hope this helps.

How much wood do you put in a h20 smoker for ribs

Ah, the age old question. Basically the meat only absorbs the smoke for the first hour to two. This is when the smoke ring is created in the meat. I would use enough soaked wood to keep a slight smoke coming out for the first two hours. After that charcoal is enough in this type of smoker.

You can Google "smoking meat" and find tons of info and forums but be forewarned. You may get hooked in the art of smoking meat.

Was given a brinkmann gourmet charcoal smoker/no manuals

Sure...the smoker top and middle lift off. There is a pan that goes over the charcoal pit. The pan is used to create moist heat. It will produce steam while you cook. I recommend flavoring whatever fluid you put in the pan with fruit, fruit juice, or frozen concentrate, or wine, mixed with water. You can put your initial batch of charcoal in the bottom, (pit) and fire it up just as you would any charcoal grill. once the coals are ready, you can put the pan over them, put the middle section in, (with whatever meat you prefer), then finally the top. During cooking, to produce a smoky flavor, you can put water soaked hickory or misquete chips with the charcoal, it has a door for access. You can also add charcoal as needed to maintain the desired heat level thru the door. Remember, it takes longer to prepare food on the smoker, the key is low heat and longer cooking times. For example, I usually cook a boston **** at about 185 degrees for up to 12 hours. Bon Appetite!

Char-broil water smoker

first, a charcoal fire in bottom tray, then a pan filled with hot (boiled) water above it, then the meat on top tray, then keep lid on a long time (hours) without peeking and remember to keep charcoal topped off. you should also soak hardwood hickory sticks in water for a day or 2 and wrap in aluminum foil with small holes punched through and place on top of charcoal to provide smoke. usually a large chicken is done in about 4 hours.
