i also have straight talk... its not the sim card its self that wont work with the 30 dollar plan.... it depends on the type of phone that you have. There's alot of data useage when it comes to the smartphones so the prefer that you purchase the unlimited plan that way your phone would work properly....
Just get the SIM card of the network you want to use and put it into your phone. You can then take it to that network's store and have them set up a plan for you to use. You may even be able to setup a plan over the phone or online.
Try with another sim card, clean the sim connector of your phone, reset you phone to Factory Setting (default) using 12345. If you can open it, clean the mobile thoroughly using iPhone solution. This problem is caused by Firmware problem and Hardware problem as well. OR: New Software Reinstall in the Phone
we usually received this messages or server replies if..
1. we are not subscribe, or we are using a plan sim and not subscribed to internet accessibility.
2. if you are connecting to a secured wireless network and accessing it.
3. if your browser profile settings are not configured well to your network provider.
and many more.
try to do a check on your phone.
for 1>> check your sim if you are subscribed as plan or you are using a plan sim, thereby, accessing the internet has separate purchase or subscription.
for 2>> ask a the server administrator to give you permission so you can connect to their server.
for 3>> ask you network provider to send you the right settings and configure it properly. and check again if you set your network provider as the default browser profile for your internet accessibility.
It depends on what type of plan you want such as a Prepaid or Post-paid plan. Post paid plan is where you have so many minutes per month and you have data plans available as well. You might be able to go in to AT&T and ask how much pre-paid plans are and if they have internet useage on them you will be able to take that sim card out and put it in your iPhone. Other wise if there is no AT&T carrier in your area, you can unlock/jailbreak your iPhone and then you would be able to use it with any carrier that takes sim cards. I personally use QuickPwn, but if you are going to do this just make sure that you are NOT running 2.2.1 on the 3G as you will not be able to unlock the phone, and you will have to get a turbo sim in order for it to be unlocked. Hope this helps you out!
You need to have a data plan on your SIM card, or a friend with the same provider with a SIM card you can borrow. The phone REQUIRES a data package to activate. You can however get past the activation, however this is quiet involved. I would google search it if you really want to attempt to get past the problem, but I am warning you, this is tough.
You need to be set up for the G1 data plan through T-Mobile. This is the 24.99 plan for g1 data + 400 texts, or 34.99 for g1 data and unlimited texts. If you are setup through online billing, you can do this through the website by clicking "Account>Add/Change services". If you do not have web billing, you can contact billing by phone.
Note - it can take up to 24 hours to become active, but on mine, it only took 10 minutes.
