Check the video output card input voltages, capacitors, and the screen voltage adjustment. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
These white lines are called "retrace lines"; technically. The reason for this; and the adjustment procedure is given by one among the above stated site; I do recall that I've seen it before.

Hi! Thank you for your help. I have a Samsung TV

Hi Doug Rudnik,

First of all thank you for contacting Fixya.com regarding on your TV problem.

You've mentioned that you can hear a sound for 1 sec and then the unit immediately turned off and there's a constant red LED lit. The symptoms you've described indicates that the main board of your unit is working fine and it automatically shuts off because it sensed malfunction on image boards. The constant red LED means that it is on standby mode only.

Now, since you've replaced the power supply board but still the symptoms persist, then the suspect is either the X or Y sustain board but high chance that the fault came from the Y sustain board based on my experienced. Y sustain board is located on the left side of your unit while the X sustain board is on the right side if you are facing the rear cover. These boards has a ceramic fuse(white color) and pico fuse(looks like resistor), please check the continuity of the fuses to determine which board gone to malfunction. If you found an open fuse to Y-sustain board then you need to replaced it. Blown fuse means that the circuitry on its line gone to excessive current.

I would advice you also to inspect the electrolytic capacitors on these boards. Most of the time loud pop came from a blown capacitor and has a physical indication of fault like bulged/dome at the top and can be easily identify through visual inspection. It can give you an idea also which board gone to malfunction. See sample picture below of faulty electrolytic capacitor with bulged dome at the top.

Here's the link for X and Y sustain board.

X sustain board

Hope I've gave you an idea what's going wrong to your set.

Have a nice day and take care!

Kind Regards,

Hi, I have an a GE Profile Model TPX24PPDCC fridge that came with the home I purchased in 2006. I believe the fridge is much older. I've been having problems with the water dispenser where water will...

Yes there is a way to disconnect the water line. Pull the Fridge out from the wall. The electrical power chord should be on the back side as well as the 1/4" water line. You need to locate a valve and shut off the supply water. Then you can disconnect the line with wrenches. It is located near the bottom.

HI I have 60" Sharp

Im sorry to imform you but there probably isn't a solution for this. you see with an lcd if one of the pixals goes out more of them start to go out. I know someone who bought an lcd monitor for there pc and when they took it home one pixal was out for the pressure it was under when they shipped it. she turned the monitor off and later back on and there was a line on here screen. then she turned it off and back on and it was a bit larger till she had a line all the way down the screen. she was able to take it back to the store for a new monitor but the next one did the same thing. it wasnt till her 3rd or 4th one that she finally had a good working one. anyway theres no way to get those pixals back if that is what it is.

im sorry about your television.

i hope this has helped if you need anymore help just reply.

Follow up on the Optima 719 with vertical white line

Hi Abouttime

Tapping can fix most electrical things for a very short while - unexplainable !

But I have been working as a authorised service provider on mos brands of Projectors for over three years now and in all of the times the white line was a faulty Mainboard.

This is just my opinion and I only answer and provide a free service to those who are in need.

Wheter you take my advice or not is entirely up to you.

Kind Regards

Marrie
