Hi Sue, it depends on what make and model you are wanting this to work on. So therefore always describe your make and model as accurate as you can and try to specify your problem to the best of your ability.

On your tablet, open the Play Store app. Download and install a file manager app. After it is installed, open the app and use it the same way you use Windows Explorer on your desktop/laptop computer to copy and paste files between directories or from your computer to a flash drive or memory card.

We have a lenovo tab2 A8, with a 64 GB microSD card installed. With both netflix & amazon prime video, in options, there is no selection to download to the SD card instead of the internal storage.

First, go to Settings > Storage and check if the "Default write disk" is set to "SD card". Then go to Settings > Apps and swipe to the left until you get to "SD card". Below will be all the Apps that can be be moved to the external SD card. Click in the box on the right and another page will come up. About in the middle of the page will be "MOVE TO SD CARD" tab. Tap on it and wait until it finishes. Then go back and pick another App to move. You should be able to download apps directly to the external SD card. I haven't done that on this device and not all apps will download to the external SD card (the app maker can restrict downloads to only the internal memory. This tablet is one of the rare few Android devices that allow moving Apps to external memory.

How to fix error downloading insufficient space on device but I have a 8gb microsd card with lots of room and nothing will download please help this is my second next book tablet I just want to fix th

Amber,
I think your problem may be due to it downloading into the internal memory of the tablet. There may be a way of moving the apps into the external micro sd card rather than deleting them.

From http://www.tomsguide.com/forum/id-2055729/set-downloaded-games-google-play-directly-external-card-samsung-galaxy-tab.html

" Go into settings, then to storage, then to used space, then to applications. In applications manager go to sd card there will be a list of your applicationsicon1.png, touch/click on each one individually and within each one that can be moved, is a box "move to sd card" touch that box and wala it is moved! To move pictures I reset the cameras auto storage to the sd card then moved all my other pictures to the camera file which then stored them on the sd card. I then deleted the pictures from the system memory. Hope this helps! "

How do i download the movie i have on my tablet to the sd card

Download and install a File Manager application from the App Store (for Apple tablets) or Play Store (for Android tablets). It is like the Windows Explorer on your Windows desktop/laptop. Open the application and search for your movie file. Then copy it and paste it into the SD card, the way you would copy a file from one directory to another with Windows Explorer.

Hope this helps.

What is an sd card?

An SD Card (Secure Digital Card) is an ultra small flash memory card designed to provide high-capacity memory in a small size. SD cards are used in many small portable devices such as digital video camcorders, digital cameras, handheld computers, audio players and mobile phones. How to download is in your instruction manual.

How to get more storage space

if your settings do not point to the micro sd card then you will be using up your space on the tablet, you need to go into your settings and make sure that you movies, video's, photos, and anyother items that can be moved to the micro sd card are pointing to that card as a backup , install, and saves also try clearing your cache's both on the tablet and your internet browser cache.
I have a kindle fire and i have to do this in order to keep it running smooth, also having cloud helps. so this is what I suggest. and Good Luck

My fujitsu m532 can't play movies from sd card

My suggestion would be to look at the format of the movie files you're trying to play and search for a movie player app that matches that. If one exists then download, install and open file from SD card with that app. If for example file type is "*. flv" then search for "flv player for android".

My guess is you don't have an app on the tablet that is compatible with the movie file type. Hope this helps.

Forgotten Password

If your notes are on the SD card then take out the SD card and perform a 'Factory Reset' on the tablet. This will loose all saved data on the device so be careful. Replase the SD card and re download all your apps. The data on the SD card will not be effected.

pictures should already be loaded to SD card... if not, you probably need to format SD card and then try again. I've had issues with SD cards going from laptop to Tab 3 but my pics taken with my camera always load to SD card. Now pictures I have downloaded from the internet I can open up in my Gallery, tap the picture and then hit settings and move to SD card
