Check device manager and see if drivers are installed .. Sounds like a driver issue unless you have all muted by mistake. Check driver status.. or simply reinstall drivers again . It will just overwrite old one.. can point you to download but need model of pc..

SOURCE: Problems with headphones and online media.

Try looking at the Packard Bell support site for drivers and downloads and see if there is a Window 7 audio driver for your model. If so download and install it.

How do I fix the stereo amplifier speaker channels so that both speakers work.

First things first. Check the speaker connections and wire to be certain it is all good. Because if it is not then even when you get the missing channel going it will blow if the cables are faulty.
Next try a pair of headphones. If you can hear sound in both channels there is nothing wrong with the power amp. Instead it is the headphone socket, which is switching the channel off. You should replace the headphone socket if it is.
If the channel is still missing, then you must pull out the plug and look inside the unit. Either follow the missing channel back from the speaker socket or go straight to the heat sink. Look for damaged or burnt components. Remember the good channel's components are the same as the bad one. So compare the two. With the good channel as a guide to what they should look like.

Headphone jack not functioning properly

This is the normal way for this laptop ..leave it always with the headphones on selected in that list ..cause if the main speakers don't work well there is no point in using them ..This way you will run whatever yo will plug in ..speakers or headphones..The only setting difference in headphones and stereo out ..is that for headphones will but the speakers of the laptop when plugged in ..This way it will even help you if the speakers are making weird noises cause they are damaged ..

Does not turn on

What worked for me (after getting the idea from another post on a slightly different problem) was to plug headphones into the wired remote. The moment I did that, the blue light went on and the speakers worked. They continued working even after removing the headphones. I think it was an issue with the wired remote, but anyway it's working fine now.
