find the remote unit in the car and check for output when you press the start button. Chances are their is no signal going from the unit to the start wire in your car.

Most remote start systems require that you push the lock button first then the remote start button. You didnt say what type of car you had.

2001 Chev Suburban remote start won't start and now with the key there is nothing.

The electronics involved are too sophisticated to diagnose without electronic kit. Call out a mobile car electronics repair company to come and test the car and tell you what is wrong.

The car is not starting by using the keyless remote

if it tries to start but does not, it is the battery in the car
if nothing happens when you trigger the buttons on the remote, it is the battery in the remote

The Audiovox ASTCBM is nothing more than an immobilizer bypass interface to be used with a remote starter unit. First, you need a remote starter. Then, you may or, may not need the ASTCBM, depending on the vehicle.

Nissan Altima 2000 Manual. Recently had remote starter installed and was working fine for a few days. This morning I remote started the vehicle and when I came out car was off. Try starting the car up...

the remote starter is not going to damage the starter, but if wired wrong it could damage the wiring or fuses, or run the battery down from a short.

When i push the start button on the remote nothing happens

I'm assuming you have a remote to lock/unlock your car with an added button to start the engine.
you need to have the doors in the lock position, then depress the lock button on the remote once then depress and hold the start button until the engine starts.diections should be on the back side of your remote.
hope this helps.

Viper remote stopped working!

First things first. Check the fuse that powers your alarm system. If that seems to be ok then try the next simple option. Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery cable. Then turn the ignition to the start position for approximately three minutes. This will allow for any remaining energy to dissipate from your system. Now you can reconnect the negative cable. *** Before trying your alarm *** turn the ignition on and off 3 times quickly. Make sure you don't start the vehicle. Now you can exit the vehicle and try your alarm. FYI you can always stop at a nearby Best Buy store for additional assistance. They are usually very helpful. Good luck and best regards, Rico...
