Question about Wolf Range Natural Gas Challenger XL Range 48, 8-Burner, Wolf C48-S-8B Commercial Delivery - Free, Lift Gate - $140.00

The oven light on the large oven keeps blinking. The knob is in off position. I have never used the oven, it is new. Is there a chance I could have a gas leak?

I turned it on and then off, it kept doing it. So I left the room, went back in and it had stopped.

That is possible but as it is new you should best contact where you bought it and ask to have it fixed under warranty.

How to light oven pilot

When the oven control knob is in the off position(vertical), turn it counter-clockwise to the next position. This is the oven pilot light. Push the knob down, and while holding down, push the red piezo ignitor button located behind the bottom plate under the oven door. This little door swings open top down, like the oven door. Push the ignitor repeatedly, while holding the knob down. If it doesn't light, or you smell gas, let it dissipate before trying again.

NEW WORLD - NW601FP Electric Oven

i believe after buying this oven that the left knob at turning clockwise position 1 is defrost which works by just blowing room temp air around, position 2 is oven on, position 3 is conventional grill must be used with door open and position 4 is fan grill can be used with door closed ,and the knob on the left is for setting oven temp and and turn fully round when using the grill to heat the grill

I have a arrow oven and when i plug it in and turn the socket on the oven turns on even tho the oven is in the zero position

Most likely the fastening screws on your knob might have come loose and shifted position. Turn the knob anticlockwise i.e.towards left of "0" position and see whether it will move. If it does, then your knob is loose. If the knob does not use a fastening screw, then the spring clip/the center hole of the knob is enlarged resulting in the knob shifting position. Replace the knob.

Rangemaster 110 gas cooker - RH Oven lights but doesn't heat up

Will the flame go out if you turn the control knob to the off position?

Sometimes gas cooking control knobs have two seperate types of control in the one knob. One control turn the gas on or off, one adjusts the variable quantity of gas allowed through a gap to your flame jets. Some control knobs can get gummed up and stick a little. The can be fixed by carefully taking apart the control knob, taking note of EXACTLY how everything goes back together and cleaning any gummed up bits. Then reassemble the knob and drizzle soapy water over the control to test for leaks. A leaky gas join blows bubbles and makes noise. Let me know if this fixes the problem.

Electronic ignition

Most likely you got water (or some other liquid) into the control knobs. Unplug, go to bed and try it again in the morning. If you continue to futz with it, you run the chance of burning out the electronics in the control knob, like I did. :(

Self clean light blinks, oven does not work

You were right. The locking mechanism switch somehow became jammed and the oven thought the door was locked, even though I could open the door. I didn't know if I was supposed to take the top off and moving the lever back and forth did not help. Finally I turned the oven on and just kind of jiggled the latch in the unlocked position. I kind of moved it back and forth furiously and the cleaning light stopped blinking and the oven light came on. I'm glad it is working now, but I will be manually cleaning my oven from now on! Thanks for your help.

Self clean light blinks when you turn oven on (oven does not work)

I had this same problem with mine (still posted under unsolved) This is the simpler model with the old turn style knob and the lever you slide over to lock the door for cleaning What I think (keep in mind I know little about ovens, more about cars) is that the switch that tells the oven the door is latched is staying engaged, and this is part of the lever mechanism. I cleaned and lubed this mechanism (obviously I would guess you want to use a food safe lubricant) and then moved the lever several times with the oven on so I could see if it turned on. After a few tries the cleaning light went off and the oven light came on. No, its not really a technical answer, all indications to me where that the problem was in the switch which is part of the latch mechanism. Good luck
