Software update I tried to do the software update and it said it couldn't connect so now, every 8 hours it ties up my phone trying to do the update that it can't do

In your "tools" menu, select "phone info" It may give you an option to select "automatic updates" or "manual updates". If not, make sure you are in good coverage, and try to "check new". If not, try taking out the battery, and then turning the phone back on. This should reset your phone, and may resolve the problem. (you won't lose any saved data on your phone). Good luck!

You need active internet connection for this:
1. press #0000#, then it will display you the current software version that your phone is using.2. press option, then select check for updates.3. it will then go to connecting to internet, select yes.4. if there is available update, you will be provided instructions that the phone is updating software.5. you will be ask to replace the old version with the new version, just select YES.6. your phone will restart, that's part of the software update.7. after restarting, your phone will now be using the latest version available for your phone.8. you can again check the current version of the phone's software by entering *#0000#, then you are good to go.
You can also try to this:go to settings --> software update --> download available updates --> phone will restart --> you will be using the new version of the phone's software after this.

I am not able to receive calls the next day after charging my Blackberry 9530 storm, then i have to remove the battery and put it back again to receive calls. Any permanent solution for it?


Yes, there is a solution and I hope this also works for you. My 9550 would freeze and I couldn't answer a call, or it will just freeze on it's own at least once or twice a day. I also had to remove the battery then replace it and it will be fine again. After emailing the store where I bought the phone. One of the solutions was to wipe the memory as stated here. (To try to "wipe handheld":
1. In the device Options, click Security.
If you are using BlackBerry Device Software 4.1, click Security Options > General Security.
2. Click the trackwheel and select Wipe Handheld.
3. Click Continue.
4. Type blackberry and All the data on the BlackBerry device is erased.)
Then restart the phone and it should work.
Better yet. If you have the BlackBerry Desktop Software Application on your computer. Connect your BB with your data usb cable. Then back up the phone and do a software update (Which is what I did). The software will back up your data, then wipe your BB clean. Then it reinstalls the software. The process takes between 30 minutes to one hour to complete. You should be ok after the update. My BB 9550 works fine now since the update four days ago. No more issues.

you are installed a security code when you are using your old sim cards

so if you wont to install a new sim card you have to know your security code

other wise

1) insert your old sim card
2) switch on the phone and back up all data
3) Connect your phone to pc using Nokia PC Suite and Data cable
4) make sure about your data
5) Download the Nokia Software updater
6) Update your phone software or reinstall if you have already latest software

Garmin Mapsource NT 2009 problem


your isp makes no difference and garmin should not tell you this. All the information you need should be on that dvd you bought. My suggestion is to disconnect from the Internet, uninstall the nt 2009, restart your computer, then reinstall the program without reconnecting to the Internet. This has worked for me in the past. Major issues


I had the same problem. My Belkin N1 Router was constantly dropping the WiFi connection (every few minutes). I tried several solutions I found on different forums:

Change the channel selection from Auto to a specific channel -- I tried all 13 channels, but no improvement.

Update the firmware to the latest (Beta) version -- still no improvement.

Finally I enabled "Protected Mode" and the connection seems fine now.

Killed Itself


Before you do anything else turn your phone OFF, take the batery out and leave it for around 10 Hours. Don't ask why, try it if it does'nt work >>>

Try downloading PC Suite from:
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/updateservice/updateservicesoftware/key.DownloadGeneral.SonyEricssonUpdateService_21839?cc=gb&lc=en
Then update the software on your phone.

WARNING
When updating software on Mobs, be sure to:
HAVE A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY INSERTED;
PUT IT ON GENERAL PROFILE;
TURN OFF YOUR PIN NUMBER;
CONNECT YOUR CHARGER TO YOUR MOB AND SWITCH IT ON;
DO NOT-----DO NOT---- TOUCH YOUR PHONE WHILE THE UPDATE IS GOING ON;
THIS CAN TAKE 30 MINUTES OR MORE.
And obviously don't unplug the phone from the PC.
Be patient, you may have to do a restart or two on your mob afterwards. Even remove the battery to get it going again. But give it plenty of time.

It is also wise not to use your PC while updating software, just in case the PC freezes.
If the PC freezes during an update, you're up the creek without a paddle...

I did an update on a Sony Eric 810i it took nearly two hours.

More... Your phone turns itself on and off, sometimes more than once while updating software, you should leave it well alone during the update.
