Question about Hobart Food Mixers

1 Answer

What is this HOBART piece?

I have this piece of HOBART equipment and it looks like some sort of drive adapter or extender, but I can't find anything on it. It is circular, heavy and the front shows a Hobart plaque. The back shows a 3/4 drive, an nsf sticker and the numbers 37 125 933. Can anyone help me figure out what it is?

If this is it, it is a speed drive. It increases the speed of an attachment hub 3 times the normal speed usually used with a 9" vegetable slicer.

What is the difference between a H800 and L800 mixer

I have used the H600. Nice piece of kitchen kit for hard use.

Model H600 is a heavy-duty 60-quart mixer which features a two-horsepower motor, a timer and a #12
Attachment Hub as standard equipment. With the use of bowl adapters and special agitators, 30- or 40-
quart bowls may be used on the H600.

Model L800 is a medium-duty 80-quart mixer designed primarily for use in general kitchen applications.
This mixer features a timer and #12 Attachment Hub as standard equipment and is powered by a
two-horsepower motor. With the use of bowl adapters and special agitators, 30-, 40- or 60- quart bowls
may be used on the L800.

A Bowl Guard is standard equipment on all H600 and L800 models.

A programmable timer controller is optional on H600 and L800 models.

These mixers can be ordered with a stainless steel finish.
A variety of attachments and accessories are available for all mixers. These are described in a separate Use and Applications Handbook, which is furnished with each mixer.

Here is your manual.

I needed to know the PH for a h600 11344142 Hobart mixer... And is it a single Or 3 face??

Hello Jbabajanov,

I understand that you want to know about the HP (Horse Power) of a H600, 60 quart mixer and weither it is a single or three phase.

All H600 Hobart mixers are equiped with a 2 horse power motor.

As to wether it is single or three phase you will need to look at the service tag of the machine. If is listed on it weather it is single or three phase.

Thank you for choosing FixYa.com

Where can I get a manuel for my hobart D-340 mixer?

What kind of manual do you need. The service manuals are only given to Hobart technicians while they are attending training classes for that paticular piece of equip. I have a parts manual w/ exploded views if needed. A operators manual/guide can be downloaded from Hobarts website. You will need Model, Serial & ML # or spec #.

Mixer speed selector lever

Hi. I live in Canada. I called my Hobart Parts people and they tell me that your shifter is obsolete and the shifter is no longer available in North America. I have the same model as you. For your information, the Specifications # is 3943 and your mixer was manufactured in 1966. Your serial # is 1648855. The age of your unit pre-dates the ML identification numbering system.

The newer shifter you speak of is not compatible with your machine as hobart also made transmission changes when they built the newer model. It will not mate with your machine, so save your money and don't buy the new one. Your shifter lever is made of Aluminium.

You have 3 options.

1. Check around the Wholesale Restaurant Equipment places if you have any nearby and see if they have the part you're looking for. Often times they keep some of the old parts from obsolete machines that they can no longer repair.

2. Find a local welder who can weld on a short piece of aluminum to the remainder of your shifter or if you have the piece that broke off, weld that back on.

3. Search eBay.com for the original part. There are many thousands of these mixers still in use, and you might get lucky and find the lever.

If you found this solution helpful, please rate it as fixya. Good luck! ricardok45

Mystery part to a 1950 Hobart N50 Mixer; serial number 997185

Go to www.hobartservice.com, register, then go to select "food machines" in the Product Group, then "mixers"and look for the Discontinued Products, then find the N-50 mixer drawings, they are all there, even the old ones. Look through the "exploded" drawings for your extra parts. It seems to me that the tech who put this together should know if they belong to this mixer or not. Does he work for Hobart? Or is he a repair person who states that he knows how to repair Hobart products. If he does'n't work for Hobart, these parts may have been on his bench BEFORE he looked at your mixer. A true Hobart Tech has access to specs on ALL models and the ability to access the Service Manuals. If you find this solution helpfull, please rate it. ricardok45
