Question about Dryers
We recently bought a Samsung dv400 dryer. We bought the 3 wire cord (they were out of 4 wire). Anyway, we can't get it to power on. The second (smaller) green ground wire is not in any manuals or pictures do I'm not sure if it's right. Please see picture below and let me know if this is wrong our if we bought a dud. Also, I know the terminals are not screwed in in the photo, obviously they were when we tried it.

SOURCE: Power cord hook up
Middle terminal is White and goes to the "L" shaped prong
Red and Black go to the Flat prongs (Doesn't matter which)
Round prong to cabinet Ground.
There may be a strap from the White lug to the cabinet. This must be removed for the 4 prong plug arrangment.

The following link explains how to properly install a 4-wire power cord to your appliance:
The main difference between a 3-wire and 4-wire configuration is how the ground and neutral wires are terminated.
In a 3-wire configuration the wires are terminated together at the terminal block via a ground strap.
In a 4-wire configuration the two wires are independent of one another. Match the corresponding colored wires at the terminal block and attach the ground wire to the ground lug on the equipment cabinet.
I hope this explains it well enough for you. If you still have questions, please let me know.
