Question about Mitsubishi VS-60803 60" Rear Projection Television
The set will power on it selfe when pluged it. When set is powered on, it's on the menu screen. When after setting channels, you hit menu to exit menu screen, the set turns off and then comes back on. After the set is on awhile it will turn off and come on by it self.
How far off are the colors misaligned such that you need to enter the service mode to fox them? If one or more of your colors has taken a dramatic shift in position, especially on any edge, then do not attempt to correct through the menu. If one of your convergence IC's has failed then the colors will not align on the screen. If you try to correct this in the menu, you will only be screwing up all the settings and making the set worse. When the IC is replaced with a new one your colors will still be way off, not because the new IC is not working, but because now the menu settings are too far off. I have been to many houses and spent 45 minutes replacing a burned out convergence IC followed by more than an hour realigning everything the customer messed up.

hello try this
Bypassing the V-Chip Lock
After you set the lock, you need your
passcode to view a V-Chip locked program,
view the locked TV, cancel the lock, or enter
the V-Chip lock menus.
If you forget your passcode, you can
view the locked TV without entering your
passcode. This is done by pressing the
number 9 and QV buttons on the remote
TV control at the same time, when your
password is requested. This process
temporarily unlocks the TV.
When entering the V-Chip Lock menu, this
process deletes your old passcode and
prompts you to enter a new passcode. good luck
