The graded action has stopped working, any help greatly appreciated!

The graded action is only that there are different counterweights on the various keys. They are a sort of "J" shaped pieces of steel that vary in length. I don''t know how the graded part could stop working, as they just vary the key "feel" across the keyboard. Are you saying this key "feel" has been lost?

My Hoover wasing machine 800RL is making a very loud winding noise on the spin cycle. could you please advise me what it is

hello ,
from what you described there could be a few things going on ..: of the rubber rings that balance the drum is either loose or broken ..
2 the bearing from the drive shift is defective ..
3 the counterweight is loose from the screws ..
4 the position on the horizontal plan is not perfectly
5 one of the screws loose somewhere and is vibrating only on high speed spinning ..
But usually is either the suspension rubbers or the counterweight being loose

Hoover new wave1200f noisy on spin cycle

I had a heavy knocking noise and found it to be the counterweight ( or stabilizer) whiich looks like a lump of cement, had come loose and was slapping around. Managed to tighten bolts holding it to the drum whiich solved the problem.

Whirlpool duet Gray ceramic seal broke.

If you are talking about the counterweights, they can be ordered on line at Just type in your model number and look under the "Tub and Basket Parts" heading for items 9 and 15. Now depending on which counterweight broke (they are located on the back and front of the tub), the procedures to replace differ slightly. Can you place post back and let me know if it is the front or the back counterweight that is broken? If I am incorrect about the part you are describing, please elaborate a bit more and let me know which part it is.

Front loader kenmore M# 41744252500 vibrating/shaking like crazy

I have a 4 417-43142200 that also made a terrible noise when spinning. I found that the counterweight (a piece of curved concrete) had fallen out past the rear pulley and into the bottom of the washer. When the unit was on spin cycle it would wobble and bash against the counterweight. I bolted the counterweight back in place and it was fine. The engineer who designed this part of the machine was not very thoughtful since there is nothing to hold the counterweight captive. If the bolts had been placed further out then the block would have been captive.

Our praise band keyboard has a key that won't return to the "up" position.

With the "Sing-spiration" only 3 hours away, we, John Cobb (the keyboard player) and I, decided to jump in and find the problem.  We removed the covering on the backside, removed the keyboard from the base, and when we saw the bottom of the keys, found a broken counterweight.  It was from the mid-G key that wouldn't work.  John said he doesn't use the high-G key much, so we took the good counterweight off of high-G and replaced the broken weight.  After replacing enough screws to keep the keyboard assembled, John "tested" it for the nites playability.  All is great!  We'll go to the local music store today and order a new counterweight.

The Sing-spiration was a great success!

dc, drop the front bottom panel and make sure the 4 shocks are connected to the tub and bottom panel, then check the front and rear counterweights. They may have loosened up. Remove back panel or top to check the rear counterweight. The top removes by removing the 3 screws in back and it slides off. If all this checks ok then I would suspect the rear bearing wollowing out. back.
