Its is trick..If its more then two pages print, printer grabs second page even first page in duplex unit., here its confusion. Check with simplex single print, see any paper mismatch error? or printer throwing paper in output bin after successful print?. No.. check fuser out sensor or paper out roller.
Print only two pages matter in duplex, check where paper struck? if paper our roller not grabbing paper back properly in time (slipping while grabbing back) gets jam error.
Always ensure that select proper paper size in printer.Other than this it may major issue, need technical knowledge..& possibilities are less to judge the exact problem..

Turn off the HP product and turn it around so the back of the unit faces you.
Disconnect the power cord from the back of the all-in-one. The power cord
be disconnected to allow the paper feed rollers to turn freely.
Locate and open the rear access door by pressing in on the left side tab and then pulling the door toward you.
Figure 2: Removing the rear access door
pressure rollers on the rear access door and verify that they are clean
and turn freely. Clean the rollers if needed with a soft towel lightly
moistened with water. If the rollers do not turn freely, replace the
rear access door. Click How to Buy
on this page to order replacement parts.
From the rear access door opening, remove the jammed paper.
the remaining paper from the paper supply tray. Discard any paper that
is damaged or crumpled and then re-stack and reload the paper into the
paper supply tray.
Reinstall the rear access door.
Reconnect the power cord to the unit and turn the unit on.
The following information will help prevent paper jams from occurring:
Never use paper that is torn or wrinkled.
If you are having problems using paper that has already been printed on once (recycling), replace it with new paper.
and then reinstall the rear access door. Verify that the access door is
fully locked in place. The paper can skew if the rear access door is
six months to one year, clean the paper feed rollers with a rag lightly
moistened with water. Over time the paper feed rollers accumulate dust
and do not function as well as they once did.
When printing envelopes, tuck the flap into the envelope and crease the folds before printing.
You need to isolated a problem.Verify the vertical conveyance feed and clean the feed rollers, verify the fusing unit and a duplex unit, and verify the exit unit.Stop the copy process before the paper enter in the fusing unit, and verify if the paper is crumpled or not.If is crumpled verify the paper tray rollers(casette feed rollers, vertical transport rollers). If not crumpled stop the proces after a half copy is out on the fusing unit.If crumpled change or clean the upper and lower fuser roller and the lower roller cleaning roller(aluminium roller)in the fusing unit.
Hi, You didnt wrote where it is the paper jam. Here are few common jams:
if the paper jams in fuser unit, do/check next:clean the paper delivery rollers ( when you open left door its two roller on axis beneath the drum ), check the sensor flapper beneath the drum unit if its worn out you need to replace it, does the paper comes out like bent in the roll? open fresh pack of the paper and try again it could be moisture fault.
the paper stucks in pickup section, clean the paper pickup, feed and separation roller, to do that remove paper drawer and you will be able to see the rollers on left inner side.Open the lower leftside door and check the paper senzor in the middle. You can apply some wd40 on spring of flapper or on left side bushing.
dadf jam, check for any paper leftovers and clean the paper pickup and feed rollers
check and clean the feed rollers at paper feed with cloth and water or cleaning fluid remove drum unit and check the condition of the foil on drum for dents or marks.. clean the rollers at pressure roller and clean this off with spirits and soft cloth(rollers under the drum) empty out the master waste treay and clean off rollers here with spirits and cloth and check nozzle at air blower to the left of drum (Yellow nozzle for damage and blockage.. then check the tension of the master feed roller and clean the thermal heads with a soft cloth..remove the scanner glass and clean both sides with glass cleaner and clean off the lamp unit mirrors(take care here you dont miss align on guides)
your getting a 383 paper jam, find paper in two different places.
See if it's a duplex related problem. print single sided documents, if that works, try printing two sided documents (it'll be the duplexer) if it only fails while printing duplex.
Also, check the back door. Make sure the back exit tray is closed all the way.
You can also have a paper jam in the duplex unit (open the front door), the duplex unit slides out the front. You can easily remove the duplex unit and run the printer without it.
I had the same problem with my Shredded. In the centre of the paper feed slot is a little sensor that detects when you put paper in, it breaks some sort of light beam that is connected to the motor circuit.
Over time paper dust gathers on this sensor, covering it completely and fooling the machine to think that there is ALWAYS a piece of paper being fed into the shredder, the result being that the motor just runs continuously.
Clear the dust from this sensor and you'll fix this particular problem - a toothbrush worked great for me - don't use it to clean your teeth afterwards :-)
