Some phones require manual pairing first. Others have a switch to turn on the Bluetooth mode in settings

Hi, i have 2013 bmw x3. I had it paired to my old iPhone, just upgraded to the new iPhone 7 plus and cannot connect the Bluetooth on the car to the phone - any ideas?

1. Press and hold the button with the "speaking face"on the steering wheel, then after three seconds, turn the ignition key to position 1 and release the button after approximately 3 seconds. "BLUETOOTH PAIRING" appears on the display or monitor.

2. Press the button again for approximately 10 seconds until you hear a triple acoustic signal.
PAIRED DEVICES DELETED appears on the display.

3. To finish the deleting process, turn the ignition key to position 0.

All the phones that were originally paired are now deleted.

Try pairing the new phone again.

How do I pair my Motorola Droid Maxx with my Subaru car phone?

You'll want to go to Settings > Bluetooth on your Droid Maxx. Turn Bluetooth on and also make it visible. Ensure you keep the phone's screen active while the phone is visible. Then on your car you should initiate the steps found on Subaru BlueConnect for Bluetooth . The car should then initiate pairing. Watch the screen on the car as it might ask to pair with your phone and provide a PIN code. If it does, enter it on your phone to validate the connection. Watch for additional steps that might suggest syncing of your contacts/phonebook, call history, etc. If you have issues. Contact Subaru for assistance.

Paring iphone 2013 huyndai elantra

I had no problem pairing my IPhone 5S. I was even able to pair my old IPhone 4. I tried the old IPhone 4 after seeing this post. what kind of problems are you having pairing the IPhone and what version is it? All I did was turn my Bluetooth on on my IPhone then i pushed the black hone button then hit the settings button on the phone screen then pressed the pairing button then pressed the add to button, once the phone is found it should show on IPhone as Elantra on the IPhone and put in the passkey that it shows on the Elantra screen ( factory default is 0000 ) then the screen in the Elantra will show pairing. then it's paired. then you can go through all the setting after the phone is connected. Just make sure before you get into the car your BLUETOOTH is turned on on your IPHONE or it won't connect till it is turned on and the phone won't connect while your foot is on the brake if you have push start.
