Hello Jane;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

What you have provided is the standard manual number not the model number. The model number is on a label on the inside wall of your fresh food section near the top.

You may have a single screw holding the light cover on.

Note; the bulbs in a refrigerator like all of you appliances is specially designed for the service. They are a little expensive $8.00 - $10.00 each. Some food markets carry them. If not Lowe's or Home Depot.

Go into the following link put in your model number and a diagram will appear to help you.

Replacing Light Bulbs

To avoid personal injury or property damage, observe the following:
• Allow light bulb to cool.
• Wear gloves when replacing light bulb.
Fresh Food Section
(style of light shield varies)
1. Slide clear light shield toward back of compartment to release from light assembly.
2. Remove light bulbs.
3. Replace with appliance bulbs no greater than 40 watts.
4. Replace light bulb cover by inserting tabs on light shield into liner holes on each side of light assembly. Slide shield toward front of refrigerator until it locks into place. Do not force shield beyond locking point. Doing so may damage light shield.
Freezer (style of light shield varies)
1. Reach behind the light cover.
2. With firm pressure, press forward on the notches at the back of the cover and pull down the cover will open from the back.
3. Remove the cover.

SOURCE: LG refrigerator GR-B258jvc - replacing light bulb

There are usually 3 or 4 locking tabs on the cover that just need to be pressed INDIVIDUALLY toward the bulb to release them and then carefully remove the cover. The ones with 3 tabs usually have and upper and lower tab then the thrid tab is on the side. Removed the upper and lower tabs by pressing inward to the bulb and then the cover will pivot out on the 3rd SIDE tab.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Do not ever touch the quartz bulb with your fingers as fingerprints will etch the glass and cause the bulb to fail prematurely.

Loosen the trim ring clamp screw and nut, remove the trim ring, pull the connector block from the bulb prongs, remove the rubber boot from the back of the headlamp assembly, squeeze the wire retaining clip ends to unhook and release them from the from notches in the headlamp assembly, pivot the wire retaining clip away from the bulb aqnd then remove the bulb from the headlamp assembly.

The left brake light and tail light will not come on. The bulbs seem to be ok as well as the fuse.

Try to wiggle the connector with the lights on. If they flash on while wiggling the connector, disconnect it and squeeze the plastic with a pair of plyers to tighten the metal connectors. If this doesn't help, check the taillight circuit board (if this is a wagon, this won't work).

They are on a rail, after removing the screws it should slide towards you. Since it just wiggles, there are small plastic studs that keep it in place. I you need to pull it towards the front of the car or 90deg out from the front of the van.

Burnt out Parking light on driver's side

It helps to know what year make and model you are driving. look under the hood and look down at the back side of the parking / blinker light. Sometimes you have a twist style plugin similar to a child proof cap on the top of a medicine bottle that goes into the back side of the light and then there are some that you have (2) screws into the face of the amber lens that you need to remove to be able to access the bulb or to be able to pull the whole light assembly out from the front of the car to expose the plug in the back of the light housing. There may be squeeze tabs on the side of the plug that you have to squeeze before twisting. Finally there are some plugs that you simply wiggle as you pull from the back of the light assembly that are pressed in with a rubber boot (seal) around the plug.

Good Luck. Hope this helped.

How to change headlamp in 1997 volvo 850

Changing a headlamp on an 850 is so simple I almost thought you were joking... Pop the hood, and behind the lights you'll see a round cap that you can twist to remove, giving you access to the bulbs. The bulbs themselves are secured by some small pins that you squeeze in order for them to loosen, as well as the plug with wires that supplies the bulbs with electricity. It's preferable to remove the plug before the pins.

Good luck!

Changing tailight bulb

First open the rear hatch. Look just inside the door next to the rear lens assembly. There should be 2 screws that need to be removed. This should loosen up the assembly. Next gently pull the assembly back and out to you.Do not pull to hard or to far, you are still connected with wire. Next, squeeze the retainer and twist the bulb assembly ccw. You are there. Reverse it to put it back. Good luck.
