Power went out. When it was restored, we have picture on Channel 3, but static sound; Channel 4 has clear sound, no picture.

D Custer,

Utility companies are obliged to exercise certain cautions... and can be liable (even for what hey try to pass off on our various deities)... They have power easements... traveling with those rights... are obligations to MAINTAIN them (ORIGINALLY CALCULATED into YOUR rate base (count on it... they certainly $$pend it)).

Certainly file a claim... It's your right.
(
they gambled... you lost (been there... got one)... It was a pain in the posterior... but it worked.
Now everything is behind surge suppressors.

If thou hast put in a model number, model or make it did not make it through from cyberspace... so a precise answer is quite problematic... While you are contemplating the request... cycle the switch vigorously (presuming it is a mechanical one)...

Caution:
Before spraying anything in electricity's direction...
Make sure the power has been removed..!!!

Or get some contact cleaner (CRC spray ) hard to determine ...from here...
without, model, make or year....

Please comment me back if you have any questions.

Hope you fid this is helpful.

Dishwasher not cleaning

Remove the panel at the base of unit below door you should find the tech sheet which will tell you how to place unit into diagnostic, on the spray arms make sure the small holes are clean below the lower spray arm is a screen make sure it is clean not covered or cake with calcium build up if it clogged water cannot pass thru to enter the wash pump you can also remove the screws to take the upper halve apart to inspect the wash pump for any obstruction it is possible you could have a bad motor control or both you didn't mention after the unit fills do you hear the wash pump hum or click

Hi Gene, I have a customer that has a GE GE GLD6560L15SS dishwasher that makes a loud clicking sound right after the water is pumped out of machine and machine starts up again. the sound is coming from...

Good Morning Brian,
I am wondering does this noise continue throughout the entire wash cycle or does it only happen at the beginning of the wash cycles(s) after the drain cycle??

What i may be checking for if i were you is,if something has become lodged around the area of the heat element ,i know that is unlikely and most probable the small plastic bearing for the lower was arm is what is making the noise it's part number WD01X10107 i have included this link it shows that part it's item number 453 http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/GE-Parts/Dishwasher-Parts/Model-GLD6560L15SS/0432/0130000/G6090335/00005?blt=06&prst=0&shdMod=GLD6560L15SS If it does turn out to be that it, you should also replace item #s 450&item number 454,(part numbers WD12X10061 ,WD12X10057)

If that is not where the noise is coming from please let me know and i will figure it out!!

Have a wonderful and blessed day,
GENE

DW fills and empties, but, in between the sprayer never comes on. There is absolutely no sound as the timer goes through the spray/wash cycle.

start the unit and open the door after abt 3 mins and look for water inside.if water is there and u dont hear water spray sound when running but only a low humming sound the motor is bad.if there is no water then chk for anything stuck under the water float.if that is ok then there is problem with fill valve.

Possible bad lid switch. You should hear it click when lid closes; if not in needs to be replaced. Inexpensive part. Please contact me if you need further help or leave feedback if appropriate as that is how I get paid. Thanks for letting me help you!

Dishwasher not spraying

It could be a motor or a pump issue. The dishwasher has a motor that attached to a pump which forces the water up into the sprayer arms and during the drain cycle, it pushes the water out of the dishwasher. The motor (and pump) located beneath the dishwasher. Good luck!
