I do not know how to set the alarm for my Sangean RCR-1 alarm clock.

Alarm settings can be made with clock/radio on or off.
The Alarm Clock/Radio is equipped with two independent alarm
systems each of which can activate the Human Wake System Buzzer
or turn on a preselected radio station.

Using Alarm with a Preselected Radio Station:
Select desired station using + or - Tuning Button [18] or select one
of the 1-7 presets.
Set the desired volume level using Alarm Level Adjustment [9]
Select alarm system 1 or 2 by pressing the alarm button [14] or [15].
Display will blink with selected alarm
Press alarm set button [16]
Display will blink showing selected alarm hour and alarm mode
and beep
Press alarm Mode button [20] to select alarm mode
Use + or - button [18] to set alarm time hours.
Press set button [16] to set minutes using + or - button to
set minutes.
Press alarm days selections 1-7 (Sunday-Saturday) to select
alarm days.
Display will show the days on which you wish to be awoken by the
radio alarm.
Pressing alarm button 1 or 2 will confirm settings and a beep and
display indicates radio alarm is set.
Note:
If alarm days or alarm mode are not selected display will blink
all the days for a few seconds indicating the alarm is not set
and the alarm will not be activated.
If you would like to be awoken to the station you are presently
listening to press alarm button 1 or 2 for more then 2 seconds.
This allows the station you are listening to be stored into
memory. Then follow above procedures.

Alarm going off and can't stop it

Have you ever heard an alarm go off? Secondly, have you ever heard an alarm COME ON? Which was louder?

What you probably hear is a power failure alarm. Unplug it for a few minutes, then plug it back in and see if it clears itself.

2 alarm times appear at the bottom of my screen. I only want one

I had the same issue. For the last few days I had the double alarm icon with the one you describe showing 8:00 am. I had no alarms etc set so I had no idea what it was until today at 8:00! A notice came up about a friend's birthday. Apparently when I was in my calendar a few days ago I attempted to put the birthday reminder on my calendar. In the menu I thought I selected "New" however just above the New option is the New Alarm option which is what I must have selected. When the alarm came up the icon went away from my home screen and the clock page. I went in and deleted this recurring alarm and scheduled it as I normally do on my calendar.

You probably have an alarm that either already came on by the time you have read this and you likely set it inadvertently like I did. I hope this helps.

Uniden vs1100xr car alarm will not arm or disarm, have found valet mode button which sets & resets ok but remote just flashes led no chirps or lights flashing

I had the same problem with my vs1100xr. The remotes for these (and other) unidens have a rolling code. Seems to me that either the remote runs out of new codes and cycles back to the beginning, or the alarm base unit somehow loses track of the codes. Either way, the alarm base unit stops accepting the codes of your remote, and so needs to be purged of its code tracking memory - reset, if you like. This is essentially the procedure for training the alarm base unit to recognise new remote (and forgetting old remotes).
This procedure is:-
1) Disarm alarm, or if in valet mode, take it out of valet mode (push valet button 3 times)
2) Turn the ignition on and off 2 times within 15 seconds.
3) Put the alarm into valet mode (push valet button 3 times) within 15 seconds of completing step 2. Alarm should beep, and remote training has started.
4) Within 15 seconds of completing step 3, push the button (#1) of the first remote you wish to use for the alarm. Alarm should beep, indicating acceptance of remote. Repeat for other remotes you wish to use - up to 4 in total. (Once the first remote has been accepted, you have all the time in the world to make the alarm learn other remotes)
5) Turn ignition on and off to end remote learning mode. Alarm should beep 2 times. New remotes have now been learned and previous remotes forgotten.

Some of these details may vary from country to country - who knows. If this doesn't work, I suggest that you contact Uniden in your country to obtain the procedure. Took me a few tries to get the timing right, what with the valet button hard to get at and having only 15 seconds between steps.

Westclox Travel Alarm

After selecting either TIME, DATE, or ALARM at the top of the screen, use the stylus to touch and hold the large time display. Hold it there for about 5 seconds and the clock will beep and the time display will start flashing. Then you can touch either the hours or minutes and it will increase by either 1 hour or 1 minute accordingly. When the DATE is selected, it shows the year in the large display. Again, holding the stylus on the year diaply for about 5 seconds will enter into the chqange mode. IN all cases, to exit the change mode simply select one of the other selections across the top: TIME, DATE, ALARM.

Alarm keeps beeping, reads 0

Try testing it first. Press the test/reset button. If it's operating properly on the display:
"GAS" - and it should beep 3 times. Then a number should appear on the display. It should be arround 200. Then it should beep 4 quick times, then nothing for 5 seconds, then 4 quick beeps that keep repeating. It will then show 3 numbers again for a few seconds. When they're gone it will be done resetting. It should show a flashing red light and a 0 or whatever the reading might be. Try this and let me know what happens. If this fixes the problem please rate as fixed. If not, please don't rate yet. Let me know what's going on and I'll be more than happy to help. Thanks.

Olympus Stylus 730 Digital - Won't work 60 days old

I'm having the exact same problem. I was in the middle of zooming on a shot and it froze, so I turned the camera off and on, and now I get the 5-chimes+Zoom Error screen. This is nuts, I've only had the thing for six months, and it was $250 (got the Stylus 730). I *think* I got a replacement plan so that's good. But still... I hope circuit city lets me get a different brand b/c I'm not happy with this now. The only problem I had before was the HORRID shutter delay. I want a model that doesn't have that problem .
