It really hemp if you list the make and model. It's is most likely something to do with the collant temp sensor.

I have a 2003 honda with a vtec engine code that reads code P2197 P0113 P0118 P0443 what is this mean?


P0113 IAT sensor circuit high voltage
p0118 ECT (coolant sensor)
p2195 AF sensor signal stuck lean

Trouble code p0118


Code P0118 has to with engine coolant temperature. The computer is not seeing an in-range signal form the temperature sensor. Check for loose connections.

Code is for coolant temp high.

It may be as simple as jjust replacing the coolant temp sensor, although check the harness for damage first and repair.

for code p0118 the possible fixes are a bad connection to the sensor
an open on the ground circuit to the ecm
or a bad temperature sensor

for code p0700 possible tranny major issue this would have to be inspected by a tranny shop

for code p1781 not sure what that code is not familiar with this one to be completely honest

No voltage at the engine coolant temperature sensor. On a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier. Had it check and got an error code P0118. Put a new engine coolant temperature sensor and put new dex-cool coolant. I...


ever since 1995 you have to turn off useing a obd2 scanner, if you do not have one, you can go to any auto parts store and they will erase the code for free. by having the light still on the computer thinks it still has an error. good luck Toolman,
