The petcock on the bottom of the tank is for draining condensed water. If you have "goo" you might have a leaky seal and the pump is sucking oil or other fluid.

How does a compressor work?

it pumps vapour into a small tube that is cooled and turns into a liquid. The liquid boils off in the evaporator and the compressor sucks it back out and starts again. It's just a high powered pump.

Water leak in split a/c.

When compressor pumps the vapor of the freon passes through condenser coil pipelines where the heat removed by fan and becomes low pressure low temp and then travels as liquid. By removal of heat in the room again the freon get vaporized and sent to compressor. In this cycling if your indoor coil is dust blocked the room heat can't be removed. resulting this the liquid becomes forming ice over the coil. And when it cut off by coil temp, the fan only will work and ice get defrosted and water spray thr' vent.Due to coil block and makes airlock to drain pipeline. Resulting to water leak inside. To avoid water leaking service your a/c periodically.

Air compressor drain valve produces brown liquid

There are two reasons for this, 1st water is staying in the tank too long and should be drained more often and 2nd is what no one wants to here, the unit may be passing oil by the rings. We know everything starts to wear out. My suggestion to fix this problem is to install an oil water separator and capture the liquid that comes from the bottom of the tank. The oil will separate from the water and allow water to go to the ground while capturing the oil.

Spray is pulsing

this is usually caused by:

1. water in pressure tank of the compressor - clean the compressor holding tank
2. faulty valve in direct drive compressor (rare!)
3. dirty needle/gasket in the piece.
4. insufficient air flow

regarding 1:
stop the compressor,
open drain on separator and let all liquid out
allow pressure to drop to atmospheric
open drain valve on the tank and drain the content
on the compressor body find oil drain and drain oil
fill with new oil according to instruction on your compressor
close drain valve on the tank and separator
start compressor and check if problem is solved

re 2:
return valve is too difficult to change without specific model knowledge

re 3:
fill 1/3 (pint/500ml or less container)gun container with paint stripper and spray it directly to the sink or other container on full blast - WEAR SAFETY MASK, GOGGLES AND GLOVES! STRIPPER WILL BURN YOUR SKIN!
fill same level with water or solvent and run again, this operation should remove most of residual paints in nozzles and pipes.
check now nozzle for cleanliness and needle assembly, clean what necessary, use bit of vaseline when you will put it back together.
check for consistency of spray on piece of butcher paper with your usual paint. if problem solved - you are fine!

increase air flow... this actually should be done first.

for better instruction - please provide with model of the gun and paint used.

your comment and rating will be appreciated.

My porter cable 5101 air compressor will no build up pressure.. no visable leaks found

use liquid soap in water to check for leak if you have no bubble at any connection you probably need a rebuild kit for pump, this model is oilless and wear fast
sometime the o'ring on pump output pipe is worn, you need to open head of the pump to see it

I Have a Stanley air compressor Bostitch model APC-OL6-UK it is spitting brown liquid how do I clean this please

The brown liquid you are getting out of the compressor is water with rust in it from the inside the air tank. Somewhere on the bottom of your air tank there is a valve you need to open from time to time to drain the water from your tank. If you are getting rusty water from the air outlets you probably have a lot of water in the tank. If you can take the compressor outside, with pressure in the tank, where the water won't stain anything and slowly open the valve to drain the tank.

Dishwasher doesn't drain fully

Hello. Are you using liquid or powdered soap? In some models liquid soap will foam up and the drain motor can't pump out bubbles. Foaming can also happen if you pre-clean your dishes with liquid soap used for washing by hand. If it is foaming, you can poor non-dairy creamer or cooking oil into the bottom of the unit while it is in the wash cycle.
If foaming isn't a problem then the water level switch may be bad, the pump may be not pumping out as quickly as it should or you may need to take the hose off completely to make double sure that there isn't anything in it.
Did you check the air-gap next to your kitchen sink faucet. If you don't have an air-gap it may be hooked up to the garbage disposal and if you don't have a high loop in your drain hose the water can run back into the dishwasher especially if the disposal backs up.

Fixn my GE washer spin cycle

The most common reason a GE washer will not spin is that the water level tube has a bunch of goo in it. When the washer pumps out, the air does not escape past the goo, and the washer thinks it is still full of water, and thus it will not send power to the motor to spin.
Pop the front off the machine with a putty knife at the front top seam and pull the clear tube off the left front side of the outer tub. Usually it is easiest to just cut off the first inch of the tube (where the goo is) and reattach, however you may want to clean the tube end and the hollow nipple it attaches to with a thin wire. This problem is seen most often with consumers who rarely if ever use liquid bleach. If you don't use bleach very often, filling to the lowest water setting with the hottest water possible, and a strong concentration of liquid bleach, then running the washer through a cycle (no clothes) every 6 month or so should prevent the problem from reoccouring.
