I haven't used my tablet for 2 years. When I plugged it in nothing happened. Does this mean the battery is dead? Can it be replaced?

I plugged it in and tried turning it on. Nothing!

After two years of non-use, it is quite likely the battery is dead and will have to be replaced.

My NOOK 7" tablet will not charge. The battery is completely dead. I have tried charging many times in the last 2 days, but nothing happens. Can I replace the battery? If so, how?

You might consider getting a new charger than go to all the expense of a new battery unless you're really sure the battery is the problem. Often Best Buy will check your charger. If it is the problem, you're already at the best place to get a new one (or a battery).

My kindle fire does not keep its charge. I can use it one time and during the ap it goes dead

If you charge the device fully, meaning 100%, and while using it with a simple app it doesn't last 2 hrs. then you need to replace the battery. Next time it goes dead, don't turn it on, instead plug the charger and let it charge to 100% while the device is off. Once is fully charge, use it as you would normally do. But still,it needs a new battery.

My literati is frozen

Ooh. My 2-year-old Literati did the same thing. Multiple attempts to reset (paperclip in the hole in the back) and to do a hard reset (regular reset + pressing and holding the power button) failed. It wouldn't even turn off; I let the battery run down and recharged through several cycles. No dice. Dead, dead, dead. I suggest that you try the resets, but I fear that your reader is just kaput and will need recycling [MerchSource allegedly will help with that: (800) 374-2744.] Scouring other chat threads didn't seem to yield any other options, but you can look here and maybe have better luck. Sorry.

I have been trying to turn on my galaxy tab but it just wont turn on. I have tried charging it for a full day but still nothing. i dont even know if it is charging.

Most likely that it's faulty. Sometimes it takes awhile before it charges itself, specially it you drained. But if you left it plugged in for a day and still nothing happened then I think it's gone dead.

Try the following though and see if it helps.

1. Press and hold the power for about 10-15 seconds. or
2. Press and hold the power and the Volume up or Volume down at the same time for about 10-15 seconds.

If nothing happens then I suggest you send your tab for a repair.

Hope it helps.

Just purchased Blackberry Playbook. Set up wifi. Followed instructions on screen & set up account. Accepted agreement. Next screen went to update. Update finished & said it was restarting. ...

Sounds like a bad install on the new operating system. Since your question was posted in April, I'm assuming you have the problem solved by now, or returned the device, but for anyone else looking at this, I suggest either returning the device and exchanging it, or if you prefer to solve it with this device, then leave it on and let the battery run down. Once it is dead, try plugging the device in and powering it on, hopefully that gets you back in business. Blackberry Tech Support is also helpful, their phone number for your country should be on their website.
